Patrick shot Rowena a piercing glare. "Hurry up and send your people to find him!"

"Yes," Rowena nodded, her voice tight with suppressed emotion.

Having lost all patience with her, Patrick turned on his heel and walked away. Once the elders were gone, Rowena's legs gave out, and she slumped onto the floor.

Yulisa rushed forward. "Mrs. Lynn."

Rowena was covered in a cold sweat. She closed her eyes tightly. "That foolish boy! And Tanya..."

At the mention of Tanya's name, Rowena ground her teeth. To just up and run away with her—Darian hadn't just lost his mind; he had been completely brainwashed. As a mother, she believed she knew her son. Left to his own devices, Darian would never have concocted such a ridiculous plan. It had to be Tanya's doing. She had manipulated him into it.

"What do we do now?" Yulisa asked, her face completely drained of color.

The wedding was right around the corner. Just yesterday, she had gone in for her dress fitting. Knowing Darian was entirely opposed to the marriage, she hadn't bothered asking him to go with her. But to find out he had already skipped town? It infuriated her to her core.

"What else can we do? We have to find him!" Rowena snapped, too agitated to offer any comfort.

Yulisa recoiled slightly at the harsh tone. But understanding the panic Rowena must be feeling over Darian's disappearance, she swallowed her discomfort. Still, the resentment festered, and she directed all of it at Tanya.

Finding Darian was the absolute priority. He was definitely no longer in Marina City. If he had gone overseas, tracking him down would be incredibly difficult. They needed all the manpower they could get.

Seeing the logic, Rowena finally nodded in agreement. Her expression softened slightly as she looked at Yulisa. "You've been wronged in all of this."

Yulisa shook her head. "Darian just hasn't realized what he truly wants yet."

"Yes, exactly! He's just under Tanya's spell."

Seeing how understanding Yulisa was being, Rowena finally breathed a sigh of relief. Her hatred for Tanya only deepened.
