Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever novel Chapter 603

Chapter 603: Chapter 603 – she’s worth fighting for, worth everything.

Voren smirked, his satisfaction evident in the curve of his lips. "You already know the answer to that. Sera would never let anyone who goes against her loved ones off the hook."

His voice carried a note of pride as he glanced towards the bed in deep admiration for the woman he’d married. It took Seraphine a few hours to pull everything through but now, Voren felt it was all worth it due to Brad’s agitation.

On the other hand, warmth flooded Corvine’s chest, his gaze turning teary as he looked at Voren. "Voren, the best decision I ever made was resigning from my position as beta when Sera divorced Ravyn."

He shook his head slowly, marveling at how far they’d all come. He had no idea by then that Seraphine even had such amazing skills but now, he was benefitting from it in ways he could not explain. "She’s worth fighting for, worth everything."

Without telling him, Seraphine had dealt with Liah’s enemies and Corvine lacked the words to express his gratitude towards her.

"I know." Voren’s voice was thick with emotion, shame coloring his features. He had gone against Seraphine in the beginning, had doubted her, had fought her at every turn to prove a point but now, it felt useless.

"I’ve even tasted her wrath, and trust me, I don’t want to imagine what those two are going through right now. They deserve it though, and you still have to make me proud during the contest." A shudder ran through Voren at the memory of his own losses.

"Goddess, I love her so much," Corvine exclaimed, his voice carrying an almost dreamy quality.

Voren frowned, his brow creasing with sudden wariness, but Corvine caught himself and shook his head vigorously.

"Not that kind of love, Voren." He held up his hands in mock surrender. He couldn’t believe Voren still took his words so literally.

"I think Liah would be happy to hear this. And honestly, Voren, I don’t know how I got so lucky to have Liah announce me as her fiancé. It’s even better that she and Sera get along so well."

He was already on his feet, heading toward the door, before remembering something and turning back.

"Uncle Humphrey called, but honestly, Voren, I’d rather be a casual warrior to remain under your umbrella than an Alpha away from you. I’m just glad Liah isn’t power greedy." His expression softened with genuine relief.

Voren felt a twinge of guilt for having doubted Corvine for even a second when he’d received that information from the outlanders. How could he have entertained the thought that Corvine would betray him? Corvine had proven himself time and again.

"You know, my best decision in life was trusting whomever Sera trusted." Voren’s voice was raw with honesty. "You’ve proven to be an amazing brother." The words hung in the air between them, heavy with meaning.

The two men embraced before Corvine returned to his room, leaving Voren alone with his thoughts and the soft sounds of his sleeping family.

In the midst of all the chaos, Voren was still able to rest for a few hours beside his pregnant wife and two children.
