Awakened Housewife Ignore Betrayer's Begs (Scarlett) novel Chapter 715

Vincent cut straight to the chase. "I need to see Mr. Warren."

The butler paused briefly before replying, "I'm afraid Mr. Warren is out at a business dinner at the moment. He should be returning shortly."

"Fine," Vincent said. "I'll wait inside."

The butler opened the gate and let him through.

Once in the living room, Vincent scanned his surroundings before taking a seat on the sofa.

The butler approached nervously. "Can I offer you something to drink, Mr. Stewart?"

"No need," Vincent declined flatly.

Caught off guard, the butler simply nodded and stepped back. He wasn't about to press further.

As Vincent waited, the sound of crashing and shattering echoed from upstairs.

Damian must've really set her off this time. Kylie wouldn't be tearing the place apart otherwise.

Hearing the commotion, the butler hurried upstairs.

Vincent only smirked coldly to himself.

A few minutes later, Ethan walked in from outside. A light snow was falling, and he carried the chill of the evening with him. The flakes on his coat melted almost as soon as he stepped into the warmth of the hall.

After hanging up his overcoat, Ethan approached Vincent with a measured smile. "Mr. Stewart, to what do we owe the pleasure? I'm surprised you found the time to drop by."

Vincent ignored the pleasantries entirely. He rose to his feet and fixed Ethan with a direct stare. "Keep your daughter in check."

Ethan froze, his mind stumbling over the words. It took him a long moment to process that this wasn't a social call—Vincent was here for a confrontation.

"I... I'm not sure I follow, Mr. Stewart."

Vincent didn't mince words. "Kylie went after my wife. That clear enough for you?"

Ethan's face paled. "What?"

"You don't need the details," Vincent said dismissively. "Just know that from this moment on, the Stewart family is cutting every business tie with the Warrens. All of them."

Panic flickered in Ethan's eyes. "Surely this is some kind of misunderstanding, Mr. Stewart—"

"No misunderstanding," Vincent cut him off, already turning toward the door. "She brought this on herself."

Ethan's temper flared. "Kylie, you are being unbelievably foolish."

"Then tell me, Dad," she shot back, voice trembling, "what did I do wrong? Weren't you the one who taught me to fight for what I want?"

Ethan had no energy left to argue. He exhaled slowly, weariness settling deep into his expression. "If your brother were still here... the Stewarts wouldn't dare treat us this way."

The words seemed to break something in Kylie. "Of course," she said, her voice cracking. "Now that I've failed to secure your precious alliance, I'm just useless to you. What am I to you, Dad? A bargaining chip? Or actually family?"

Ethan didn't answer. He turned and walked toward the door, but paused before leaving. "Don't leave this house for the next few days," he said without looking back. "Stay here and think about what you've done. And when you've come to your senses, you will go and apologize to Ms. Theron."

Kylie's anger reignited. "Why should I? I'm not apologizing to anyone. I'd rather die."

Ethan whipped around, eyes blazing. "Are you trying to destroy me? Destroy this family?"

"I didn't do anything wrong," she insisted stubbornly.

Ethan had heard enough. He pulled the door shut firmly behind him.

Alone in the hallway, he leaned against the wall and murmured quietly, almost to himself, "If your brother were still alive... the Warrens would be the leading family in Rivergate. We wouldn't even be having this conversation about the Stewarts or the Langleys."
