After deciding to make cakes for the cubs, Su Qinglan and Xuan Long immediately began preparing everything they needed.

With Xuan Long’s help, they quickly prepared a large stone oven. They also made a simple baking tray, several bowls, and some other tools Su Qinglan needed.

Once everything was ready, Su Qinglan became busy. She mixed the strange flour with eggs, milk, honey, and crushed spiritual fruits.

She looked at the smooth batter inside the bowl. It looked almost exactly like the batter she was familiar with. She carefully poured it into the baking bowls. Then she placed them inside the oven.

"Now we just have to wait." Su Qinglan wiped her forehead. Only then did she realize how hot she had become.

Su Qinglan laughed. "Of course I am. Look at this oven." She pointed toward it. "It is so hot."

Xuan Long walked toward her. Then, without saying anything, he gently pulled her toward him. Su Qinglan blinked. "Xuan Long?"

"Come here." He sat down beside the oven and pulled her against his bare chest.

Su Qinglan immediately felt a cool sensation against her overheated skin. She sighed comfortably. "Ah..." His body was naturally cool. After all, he was a snake beast.

His body temperature was much lower than hers, making his chest feel like a piece of cool jade in the summer heat.

"Much better?" Xuan Long asked. Su Qinglan nodded immediately. "Very much." She leaned comfortably against him. "You’re like my personal air conditioner."

Xuan Long did not understand what an air conditioner was, but he did not ask. He simply wrapped his arms around her waist. His fingers gently brushed the sweat from her forehead.

Then he wiped the sweat from her arms. Su Qinglan closed her eyes. The coolness made her feel extremely comfortable.

"Don’t move." Xuan Long’s voice was low and gentle. "I’m wiping the sweat."

"Okay." She leaned even closer. The two of them quietly waited for the cakes to cook. The sweet fragrance slowly began spreading from inside the oven.

Su Qinglan’s nose twitched. "It smells good."

Xuan Long lowered his head slightly. "It does."

Su Qinglan smiled. "I can’t wait to see whether the cubs like them."

"They will."
