Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1611

The 19th?

By that time, Juniper would already be back.

"Mr. Schwartz, as doctors, we see this sort of thing all the time. It really doesn't phase us." Juniper raised an eyebrow, her tone entirely nonchalant. "It's a very quick procedure. It'll only take a few minutes."

"I don't need it."

Shanley shot her a vicious glare and pulled at the door handle to leave.

To his surprise, the door was deadbolted.

"My apologies, Mr. Schwartz. This door is custom-built to prevent medical malpractice disputes."

Juniper stood up and walked over to him. "You can't open it without the passcode."

"You refuse to drop your pants for a simple check-up. Could it be that you have some unspeakable inadequacy?"

Hearing this, Shanley's eyes darkened, and he barked coldly, "Cut the crap. If you don't want to die, open this door."

"My, you're quite violent, aren't you?"

Juniper slowly sat back down in her chair, showing not a single trace of panic. "I seem to have forgotten the passcode. Looks like you'll just have to kill me."

"But if you dare to lay a finger on me, I won't hesitate to complain to Ms. Payne."

She looked him dead in the eye and spoke at a leisurely pace, "Does Ms. Payne know you're getting a vasectomy?"

"Are you threatening me?"

Shanley took a massive stride forward. Reaching across the desk, he pressed the barrel of a gun directly against her forehead. "Breathe half a word of this to her, and you'll see what happens!"

"I never would have guessed you cared so much about your fiancée."

Juniper wasn't in a hurry. Her clear, cool eyes stared back at him indifferently. "So, just do as I say and take off your pants."

Click—

The sharp sound of the gun being cocked echoed, sounding exceptionally jarring in the quiet room.

The man's overwhelming aura of intimidation was bone-chilling.

Wow.

He was actually serious.

He didn't even get mad when she implied he was impotent, but the moment she brought up her own name, he got incredibly worked up.

Shanley put the gun back into his pocket, shot a venomous glare at the infuriating doctor in front of him, and turned on his heel to leave.

"Tsk."

Juniper let out a soft chuckle, pulled out her phone, and dialed his number.

"Juniper," he answered immediately, his tone laced with urgency. "Where are you?"

"You really don't know where I am?" She stepped out into the doorway, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "Just a moment ago, you were threatening to kill me."

"What?"

Shanley's footsteps skidded to an abrupt halt. His mind suddenly went completely blank.

Juniper raised her voice. "Why don't you turn around and look?"

Realizing what had just happened, Shanley slowly turned around and saw the girl standing at the end of the hallway.

She had already taken off the surgical mask and the high-tech silicone disguise, revealing that breathtakingly beautiful, familiar face. She was staring at him, clearly enjoying the show.

Shanley stood frozen in place, so guilty he didn't even know what to do with his hands.
