Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3596

"He certainly is talented, otherwise he wouldn't be collaborating with Nocturne," Phoebe Evert remarked.

William Thorne, the highly respected master artist, was invited to take the center seat. He greeted his fans in a charmingly broken accent as the other artists gradually made their appearances.

Phoebe finally spotted Nocturne, her eyes instantly shimmering with unabashed admiration.

Nocturne wore a white sweater that accentuated his lean, towering frame. A faint smile graced his striking features. He was polite and exuded a brooding, artistic melancholy that sent the fans into a frenzy of cheers.

While she was staring at Nocturne, she caught sight of the person emerging right behind him and froze.

Marina!

What was she doing here?

Noticing that Marina had fallen a step behind, Nocturne deliberately paused to look back at her. His gaze was polite yet carried a distinct, gentle warmth as he waited for her to take her seat.

It wasn't just Phoebe—the rest of the Evert family was completely dumbfounded to see Marina up on the stage. And when she sat down in the seat reserved for Ashen, they all looked as if they had been turned to stone.

Rhiannon Evert was the first to recover. "Our Marina is Ashen?" she asked in a joyful gasp.

Grandma Evert let out a soft breath. "This is... incredibly unexpected!"

Charlotte Evert's expression morphed from shock to absolute fury. She gritted her teeth and leaned in to hiss at Phoebe, "What is going on? How could Marina be Ashen?"

Phoebe just stared blankly at Marina, looking completely dazed.

Seeing her expression, Charlotte demanded, "Did you really have no idea?"

Phoebe shook her head. "No!"

"And that apology! It was Marina who forced our Phoebe to apologize!"

Having been one-upped by Marina over and over, Charlotte was practically losing her mind with anger. Her good mood for the exhibition vanished completely, leaving her wanting to storm out in a rage.

Suddenly, Grandma Evert beamed and looked toward the front, even rising slightly from her seat.

Rhiannon followed her gaze and saw Carson Foster arriving with Miranda Foster. Miranda wore a pristine white coat and a light blue scarf, her dark hair flowing elegantly. She sported a beautifully embroidered silk mask, her features looking youthful and soft as she offered a warm, smiling nod to the Evert family.

Carson also greeted them politely before guiding his mother to their seats in the front row.

Miranda Foster was known for being reclusive and rarely appeared in public. Yet here she was at a comic exhibition. Everyone knew exactly who she had come for.

Marina hadn't even married into the family yet, but Miranda was already showing her so much importance. The Evert family members were left with a complicated mix of joy, relief, and biting jealousy.
