Chapter 417 This Starcore Essence Is Healing You
[Those people mustve gotten-tricked by Stella. I can’t really blame them.]
[Adults should be able to think for themselves.]
[Even if Layla ends up with all of them as her mates, Shane will always hold the top spot in her heart.)
[What era are we living in? This whole primary-partner-secondary-partner stuff is such old-fashioned garbage.]
[It doesn’t sound great to say it out loud, but that’s just how feelings work. You’ll always lean harder toward one person.]
[If it were me, I’d definitely lean toward Shane.]
The viewers had no clue what Layla and the others planned to do. They simply watched with curiosity as the group headed toward an area they rarely visited.
Layla suddenly came to a full stop. “The equipment Vanguard uses to film will get damaged where we’re going. Everyone, wait right here for us.”
Online viewers sent shocked messages flooding the chat.
[What? Are you just ditching us? Layla, that’s so cruel.]
[Am I the only one dying to know where they’re going? Why would it break Vanguard’s cameras?]
[There’s probably some kind of magnetic or energy interference there.]
[Now I’m even more curious.]
[Same here. But if Layla said Vanguard can’t follow to film, we just have to sit tight and wait.]
Some viewers typed worried questions into the live chat.
[How long will you guys be inside? If something goes wrong and you don’t come back on time, we can alert the show crew for you.]
Layla read those concerned messages in the live chat and gave a soft smile. “We should be back before dark. Don’t worry. We’ve been to this spot before, so we know what we’re doing.”
Hearing her reassurance, the streaming audience relaxed.
[If you aren’t out by nightfall, we’re telling the crew to come help.
Layla flashed an OK hand gesture. She slipped an arm around Shane and Liam, and the three walked farther away.
“I was wondering how you’d handle Vanguard. I didn’t expect you to be this straightforward,” Liam said, a hint of amusement in his tone as he looked at Layla.

Layla lifted one eyebrow. “We can’t keep hiding things from them forever. Being open is the better call.”
Shane nodded in agreement. “They tune in to watch our romance, not some weird science documentary. As long as our relationships look fine to them, they won’t start digging into everything else.”
By the time he finished speaking, the three had-reached the familiar site.
Starcore Essence glittered all around them, like countless scattered stars spread across the space.
Layla let out a long sigh. “I never imagined we’d end up here back then.”
“Nothing in this world goes the way you expect. Take me-I never dreamed I’d become one of your mates one day.” Liam’s voice carried a playful tease, and he winked over at Layla.
Layla huffed lightly and grinned; “You wish you were Stella’s mate, don’t you?”
Liam’s expression shifted instantly. He shook his head hard to deny it. “No, no way. I’m not that crazy. My love is only for you, Layla.”
Liam laid on a dramatic, heartfelt confession, and both Layla and Shane burst out laughing.
They moved quickly and pried loose a chunk of Starcore Essence. Layla held it carefully and kept her distance from Shane.
Even so, the second she drew near him, she caught a subtle shift across his face.
She tensed up and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Shane pressed one hand over his chest and shook his head gently. “Something feels off, but I can’t put it into words.”
He had suffered one injury after another, and his body had stayed weak for a long time.
Yet the moment Layla walked toward him holding the Starcore Essence, a strange, powerful force washed through every part of him.
His body, which had constantly felt drained, suddenly filled with strength.
Layla noticed Shane’s complexion looked noticeably healthier, with more color in his skin.
She brightened. “This Starcore Essence is healing you.”
Shane gave a quiet hum. He lifted his hand, and pale-purple light flowed beneath his skin, moving like blood through his veins.
As the glow slowly faded away, Shane could tell his body had fully recovered.
