Chapter 324: Chapter 324: Do You Often Do This Kind of Work?

Chloe Sinclair knew this boy.

His name was Henry Archer. He was the boy who had made such a deep impression on Chloe Sinclair during class earlier.

Hearing the boy’s words, Chloe Sinclair instinctively glanced at the candy wrapper on the table. She then realized that although the wrapper was crumpled and no longer airtight, she could tell from its lumpy shape that there was a lollipop inside.

"For me?"

Chloe Sinclair was a little surprised.

Henry Archer kept his head down, looking extremely shy. He mumbled an affirmation but didn’t dare to meet Chloe Sinclair’s gaze.

It was the first time Chloe Sinclair had ever received a gift, but she didn’t think anything of it and happily accepted it.

"Thank you."

With that, she pulled a chocolate bar from her pocket—one she always carried for her hypoglycemia. "I have something for you, too."

The boy seemed completely flustered and hesitant to take the chocolate.

Smiling, Chloe Sinclair said softly, "Consider it a reward from me for today."

What Henry Archer had said today had truly surprised her.

For a child his age to be able to say such things, he was bound to have a limitless future.

Henry Archer pursed his lips, softly mumbled a "thank you," and quickly ran off.

At five in the afternoon, the production team announced a new task: cook a meal for two hundred children.

The task itself wasn’t difficult.

The only problem was that the two award-winning actresses, three award-winning actors, and one top-tier celebrity on set had absolutely no clue how.

Thus, all eyes turned to Chloe Sinclair and the other two students.

Chloe Sinclair said, "I know how to cook."

’But this is the first time I’ve ever had to cook for this many people.’

Since Chloe Sinclair was cooking, the others naturally had to help.

Chloe Sinclair heard him, but her hands didn’t stop moving. She scanned the area, and her eyes lit up as she grabbed a handful of straw.

"Yeah. They were rarely home, and I had a younger brother to look after."

A pang of sorrow went through Gabriel Sinclair. He was especially struck by the fact that Chloe Sinclair never referred to her adoptive parents as "Mom" and "Dad." It made him realize they hadn’t given his little sister a good life.

’They were both just kids. Why should she have had to take care of her brother all by herself?’

’Besides, from what I know, the son of my little sis’s adoptive family should be an adult by now, right?’

’That means Chloe Sinclair had to support a brother close to her own age her entire life.’

’And that brother just let his sister support him without a shred of guilt.’

As he thought about it, a chill ran down Gabriel Sinclair’s spine.

He had never really thought about the details before, but after spending more time with his little sister, the picture she painted of her adoptive parents was becoming clearer.

Gabriel Sinclair suddenly realized things weren’t that simple.
