Chloe Sinclair went to Jasper Shaw’s company after taking a day to rest.

Jasper Shaw was in the middle of a morning meeting, but he rushed out of the conference room the moment he heard Chloe Sinclair had arrived.

As soon as he walked through the main entrance, he saw Chloe Sinclair sitting quietly on the sofa.

The man’s heart softened. "What brings you here?" he asked.

He hadn’t expected her to be back until today.

"We finished our mission ahead of schedule, so we came back early."

Chloe Sinclair got up from the sofa and sidled up to him. Her dark eyes held a hint of a smile as she teased, "Miss me?"

A faint lemon fragrance wafted around the tip of Jasper Shaw’s nose, and in an instant, all his fatigue vanished completely.

"I did."

The man answered honestly.

Then, a thought occurred to him. "Are you going upstairs to see Aaron Archer?"

Chloe Sinclair nodded. "To see how the project is coming along."

Jasper Shaw mulled it over for a moment. "He’s upstairs. Go on up."

"Okay."

When Chloe Sinclair went upstairs, she saw that quite a few team members had arrived, all of whom she had interviewed before.

They all greeted her when they saw her approach.

Chloe Sinclair took a look around the lab. Seeing that the experiment’s progress was about what she had expected, she didn’t say anything.

After a quick look around, Chloe Sinclair left the lab.

With the New Year just over, Jasper Shaw was incredibly busy.
