Hearing her sincere apology, the doctor's temper cooled slightly. He carefully applied fresh medication and completely restabilized the fracture.

Just before they left, he couldn't resist one final remark: "I understand young people are impulsive and have needs, but you must take the patient's actual physical condition into account."

Stella's ears burned violently. She wanted nothing more than to peel her own face off and hide it.
