Kash’s pale golden compound eyes flickered several times. “Impossible. I know Aebi’s capabilities, and the fifty Swarmborns it took with it were elites among elites. Planet A001 is an abandoned world. There are no troops from the kingdom there, no defense systems, only a farm. Even if the mission failed, they shouldn’t have been wiped out completely.”
The giant Swarmborn leader fell silent for a moment.
The cavern was so quiet that the only sound remaining was the rustling noise made by the Swarmborns’ abdomens contracting as they breathed.
“Human schemes,” the leader finally said, its voice even deeper than before: “We underestimated them.”
It looked toward Kash. “Put the defense map operation on hold.”
Kash’s compound eyes suddenly contracted. “Leader, an opportunity like this…”
“I said put it on hold.” The leader cut it off, leaving no room for discussion in its tone.
“Aebi’s disappearance is no small matter. There must be something on that planet that we don’t know about. Until we understand what it is, we cannot act recklessly.”
It lifted a foreclaw and pointed toward Kash. “Send two of our best concealment specialists to Planet A001. Find out what happened to Aebi and determine exactly what is happening on that planet.”
Kash lowered its head. “Yes. Who should I send?”
The leader thought for a moment. “Gru and Mila. Their ability to conceal their presence is stronger than that of any other Swarmborn. Once they disguise themselves as humans, even mental power can barely distinguish them.”
Kash nodded and turned to make arrangements.
When Gru and Mila received their orders, they were in the nursery deep inside the nest, taking care of larvae.
Gru had a medium-sized body with a gray-brown shell and dark-brown compound eyes that looked completely unremarkable.
Its special ability was aura mimicry.
It could imitate the presence of any lifeform, including humans.
Mila was slightly smaller, with a lighter shell and amber compound eyes.
Its ability was pheromone disruption.
It could release a special pheromone that dulled the senses of nearby creatures.
Working together, the two of them could deceive almost any form of detection.
“Aebi disappeared?” Mila’s voice carried a trace of disbelief.
“That guy is the most cautious warrior I’ve ever known. Even if the mission failed, it would have found some way to send back information

Gru said nothing and simply lowered its head, gently nudging the larvae in the nursery with its foreclaws.

The little creatures weren’t even as large as its palm yet. Their shells were soft, and their compound eyes hadn’t opened. They huddled together and made faint squeaking sounds.
It stared at them for a long while before finally standing. “Let’s go see for ourselves.”
The two Swarmborn disguised themselves as humans and spent an enthe day studying human behavior.
Gru chose the appearance of a middle-aged man.
Ordinary-looking, dressed in a plain gray coat, with graying hair and a pair of old-fashioned glasses.
Mila chose the appearance of a young woman.
She had long hair draped over her shoulders, wore a light-blue dress, and carried a gentle smile on her face.
The two of them practiced in front of mirrors for a long time.
Every detail, including walking, speaking, smiling, and nodding, had to be flawless.
Three days later, they slipped aboard a tourist spaceship traveling from the frontier star systems to Planet A001.
There were over two hundred passengers aboard, all heading to Tycoon Farm for fruit and vegetable picking activities.
Gru and Mila carried forged identification and passed through security checks without issue.
No one spared them a second glance.
The spaceship traveled through interstellar space for two days.
Gru and Mila sat in a corner and barely spoke.
They observed the people around them, studying their language, expressions, and ways of interacting.
An elderly couple in the nearby seats were discussing how many strawberries they planned to buy once they arrived at the farm.
A family of four sat in front of them, with two children watching cartoons on their devices at full volume.

Several young people sat behind them, chattering excitedly about the farm’s Cluckoo Eggs
Everything felt normal, so normal that Gru became increasingly uneasy.
Several hours later, the spaceship landed at Planet A001’s spaceport.
Gru and Mila followed the crowd down the boarding ramp and stepped onto this unfamiliar world.
Their first impression was that the air here felt different.
Not fresh or clean in the way humans described it, but something deeper, more fundamental…
Gru didn’t know how to describe it.
The instant his respiratory organs came into contact with the aur, they involuntarily expanded to their maximum capacity

That sensation flowed into his blood, seeped into his shell, and made every nerve ending in his body tremble slightly
Mila felt it too.
She looked at Gru, and a flicker of confusion crossed her amber eyes.
But they didn’t stop. They followed the crowd and entered the farm grounde

“Welcome to Tycoon Farm!” A young woman wearing a light green apron stood at the entrance with a megaphone, smiling brightly. “Please line up and collect your picking baskets and tools. The picking zones are divided into strawberries, tomatoes, apples, grapes, and vegetables, and you can choose whatever you want. The fruits and vegetables you pick will be priced by weight. Please don’t waste produce or damage the plants. Have fun, everyone!”
