His Wicked Obsession (Archer and Virginia) novel Chapter 362

"Yes! I was drunk that night, I thought it was Archer..." she cried, trembling all over. The thin nightgown slipped off her shoulder, making her look incredibly fragile and pitiful.

"It wasn't until I accidentally hurt Toby recently and the hospital tested his blood that I realized... he might be yours..."

At this, Chloe scrambled up like a madwoman, charging at Liam and pounding her fists against his chest in a hysterical release.

"Why? Why did it have to be you?! You ruined everything for me! If it weren't for you, I never would have gotten pregnant!"

A sharp ache clenched at Liam's chest.

With a complicated look in his eyes, he pulled Chloe tightly into his arms.

"Chloe, I love you. It was my fault back then. Don't worry, from now on, I will protect you and our son with my life. Anyone who stands in your way, I'll kill them!"

Chloe struggled against him, eventually pretending to tire out. She leaned against his shoulder, burying her face in the crook of his neck as she sobbed softly.

But where he couldn't see, a triumphant, cold smirk curled onto her lips.

...

The next day at two in the afternoon was Chloe's second therapy session.

Virginia had reviewed the assessment report beforehand and planned to attempt a deep relaxation intervention.

"I'm coming over to sit with you right now."

On the other end of the line, Archer frowned, recalling the image of Chloe's psychotic breakdown during the last session.

"There's no need," Virginia said evenly, her eyes scanning the report in front of her. "Didn't you already warn her? If she really wants to get better, I believe she'll control herself."

Archer's grip on his phone tightened, but he had no choice but to trust her. "Alright. Call me the second anything happens."

Shortly after the call ended, the office door was pushed open.

Chloe wore a light blue floral chiffon dress today. Her long hair was draped over her shoulders, her face entirely free of makeup, and the skin under her eyes looked slightly red and swollen. She looked the picture of frailty.

Liam followed closely behind her. As his gaze swept over Virginia behind the desk, it carried an imperceptible, icy hostility.
