I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 160

Finn ignored her completely as the next call connected.

"Mr. Whitaker, I'm so sorry to bother you. I'm calling to let you know that the wedding has been canceled..."

Yolanda's hands shook uncontrollably as she glared at her son. For the very first time, a terrifying realization slammed into her.

Finn was slipping entirely out of her control.

Everything had fundamentally shifted.

Finn ended the call and leveled her with a gaze so cold it was suffocating.

Yolanda's voice trembled with poorly masked fear.

"Your father and your brother will never forgive you for this!"

"That's fine. I'll finish making the calls first, and we can figure out the forgiveness part later."

He looked entirely unbothered.

And began dialing the next number.

Yolanda took a ragged, deep breath. She forcibly lowered her volume, her overbearing arrogance completely stripped away.

"Finn, we were in the wrong here. We should have consulted you before moving forward. You have every right to be furious. But please, don't act recklessly. Let's sit down and discuss this properly."

Finn held his phone up, his thumb hovering dangerously over the glowing screen.

"There's nothing to discuss. You are going to issue an official statement right now canceling the wedding. Otherwise, I will stay up all night calling every single person on this list personally. My social skills aren't great, and my words might get ugly, so don't blame me for what happens."

Yolanda's knuckles turned white as she death-gripped the sofa.

Finn was totally immune to both threats and reasoning. This was a catastrophic disaster.

She stared at the phone in his hand, visualizing the names in that contact list—every single one represented decades of painstakingly cultivated alliances by the Fletcher family.

"Fine." The word was ripped from her clenched teeth. "I will issue the statement. The wedding is canceled."

Finn finally lowered his phone and looked at her.

"By tomorrow morning, I expect to see that statement fully circulated. Every single guest who received an invitation must receive a formal cancellation notice. Do not miss a single one."

Yolanda remained silent, her chest heaving with furious, ragged breaths.

Finn turned on his heel and walked right past Chloe.

Suddenly, something tugged at the hem of his jacket.

He looked down.

Sienna climbed into Isaac's car.

Sitting in the passenger seat, she kept her head turned, staring blankly out the window.

Isaac's eyes kept drifting over to her. The shifting streetlights cast alternating shadows across her beautiful profile, her long eyelashes lowered as she stayed lost in her own private world.

For the longest time, he and Sienna had shared an incredibly solid dynamic. Compared to Finn, Isaac had always been able to effortlessly earn her genuine smiles and draw her into comfortable conversation.

He had truly believed they would always maintain this perfect balance.

Comfortable, natural, never too far, never too close.

But now, the thick wall of defense she had built against him was something he simply couldn't accept.

"Sienna, I have never done a single thing to hurt you. Please believe me," Isaac suddenly spoke up, breaking the heavy silence.

Sienna blinked, slowly turning her head to face him.

"Director Holloway, I am merely your subordinate."

Isaac's eyes flickered with intense emotion.

"But I don't want to just be your boss anymore."
