"Sienna, what's wrong? You look pale."
Sienna snapped back to reality, shoving her phone into her pocket and shaking her head.
"I'm fine. Is everything sorted on your end?"
Lily was beaming.
"All sorted. Everything that belongs to me is back in my hands. The only condition is that I can't leak the video to the public. But they know they can never target me again, or I reserve the right to 'accidentally' let it slip."
She threw a disgusted glance toward the conference room.
"As for Angeline, she's definitely getting fired."
Sienna briefly looked at Angeline's battered form.
"There's nothing wrong with clawing your way to the top, but you shouldn't do it by stepping on other people using dirty tricks."
Lily looped her arm through Sienna's.
"Thank God I have you, or I would've been the sacrificial lamb today. Let's call Isaac and go out to celebrate. What do you say?"
Sienna didn't want to ruin her friend's mood.
"Sure. Let's do it."
The moment they walked out of the campus gates, Sienna's phone rang.
It was Felicia.
"Sienna, did that little gift I gave you come in handy?"
Sienna's posture relaxed slightly.
"Felicia, thank you so much. It was a massive help." She paused. "Angeline just got beaten to a pulp by Victor's wife. She's going to need some serious cosmetic work. She definitely won't be meeting up with Ford anytime soon."
Felicia's bright laughter rang through the receiver.
"You're incredible, Sienna." Once her laughter subsided, she let out a soft sigh. "Honestly, I would've loved to see that with my own eyes."
"We're having a celebration dinner at The Gilded Clove tonight. Do you want to join us?"
"I'll pass this time. You girls have fun." Over the phone, slightly muffled by distance, a man's voice drifted through.
"Felicia."
Meanwhile, he was still stuck in a vicious cycle of being blocked and unblocked on text, walking on eggshells, terrified of making a single wrong move.
A sharp wave of jealousy washed over him.
Felicia leaned back against the sofa and observed him.
"I genuinely like Sienna. If I were a man, I would absolutely go after her," she said, her tone turning serious. "There's a clarity about her. Being around her just feels comfortable. She's authentic and pure, but she's also brilliant and has a real edge. A saint's heart with a warrior's hands—that's the best way to describe her."
Finn sat completely still, listening quietly.
"I think so, too," he murmured.
Felicia looked at him with gentle pity.
"There are too many impossible hurdles between you two, Finn. I think you should let her go."
Finn's eyes snapped up, something shattering in his gaze.
Despite feeling a pang of sympathy, Felicia pressed on.
"Four years ago, your choices practically destroyed her will to live. The reason she's thriving today is that she grew a thick suit of armor—and it was built specifically to keep you out. Not to mention, she personally put your mother in prison. That's an unbridgeable chasm. She can't face you, and honestly, you can't face her either."
