"Gu... Gu Sheng, my father is the Luoyun City Lord, if you kill me..."
"Noisy."
Gu Sheng mustered his strength and swung his sword.
A line of blood appeared on Young Master Qin’s throat, his eyes widened as he fell to the ground dead.
Ling Xiao gasped.
"Gu, this..."
"Search his Void Ring and leave quickly."
Gu Sheng’s voice was weak.
"The City Lord Mansion will soon hear of this."
Mu Feng, enduring his shoulder injury, quickly removed an ancient ring from Young Master Qin’s finger and handed it to Gu Sheng.
Without even looking, Gu Sheng tucked it into his chest and said softly.
"Go!"
The four swiftly left the battlefield, rushing toward the distant woods. Along the way, Gu Sheng could no longer sustain himself, coughing up a mouthful of blood.
"Brother Gu!"
Mu Xi exclaimed.
"It’s nothing..."
Gu Sheng struggled to speak.
"Find a hidden spot... I need to meditate..."
Meanwhile, Tie San clutched his chest wound, stumbling as he fled down the mountain path toward Luoyun City. With each step, the sword injury in his right chest brought excruciating pain.
"Damn it... Gu Sheng’s Sword Qi... so troublesome..."
Tie San gritted his teeth, pulling out an Elixir Pill and swallowing it, but it had little effect.
The special Spiritual Power within the Sword Qi was relentlessly eroding his meridians.
As darkness fell, Tie San’s vision began to blur.
Forcing himself forward about half a mile, he finally collapsed into the roadside grass.
"Help... me..."
Tie San weakly called out, his consciousness gradually fading.
After an unknown amount of time, footsteps drew near.
"Huh? Someone’s injured here!"
An elderly voice sounded.
Tie San managed to open his eyes, seeing an elder in a gray robe bending over to check his injuries, with several guards dressed people standing behind him.
"This wound..."
The elder examined the sword injury on Tie San’s chest and suddenly his expression changed drastically.
"Such pure Sword Qi! At least left by a Taichu Realm master!"
One of the guards recognized Tie San.
"Elder Wang, isn’t this the Guest Elder Lord Tie San from the City Lord Mansion?"
"Quick! Transport him back to the City Lord Mansion!"
Elder Wang said urgently.
"This injury requires a fifth-grade Spirit Pill to treat!"
When Tie San awoke again, he found himself lying in a lavish room. At the bedside stood the Luoyun City Lord Qin Wuya with a sombre face, and Elder Wang looking equally grave.
"City... City Lord..."
Tie San struggled to sit up.
Qin Wuya pressed a palm on his shoulder, Spiritual Power pouring in to inspect the wound, his face growing darker.
"Such domineering Sword Qi! Tie San, where is my son, Young Master Qin?"
Tie San shuddered, fear flashing in his eyes.
"Young... Young Master he..."
"Speak!"
Qin Wuya roared, the pressure from his late Taichu Realm presence causing the items in the room to tremble.
"Rubbish!"
Luoyun City Lord abruptly turned, striking Tie San’s heavenly spirit cover with a palm.
"Besides the sword wounds, my son’s body bears traces of your Iron Family’s ’Heart Shattering Palm’!"
Tie San’s eyes widened, before he could defend, his head exploded.
Not even glancing at the fallen corpse, Luoyun City Lord cradled his son’s body, eyes filled with veins of blood.
"Gu Sheng... Ling Xiao... I want blood for blood!"
He looked to the sky and howled, the sound resonating across the land.
"Descending Immortal Realm will be your burial ground!"
Before the words finished, the Luoyun City Lord’s figure turned into a dark light, shooting towards the east. Trees exploded along the way, none dared block his path.
Meanwhile, in the dense forest hundreds of miles away, Gu Sheng sat cross-legged, Spiritual Power flowing around him.
He slowly opened his eyes, exhaling a mouthful of foul air.
"How’s the recovery?"
Ling Xiao leaned against an ancient tree, playing with a Jade Scroll in his hand.
Gu Sheng flexed his wrist.
"About seventy percent. That final desperate strike from Young Master Qin was indeed formidable."
Ling Xiao sneered.
"His father is even mightier. The Luoyun City Lord has nearly reached the Nascent Soul stage, our current state only gives us a thirty percent chance against him."
Gu Sheng stood up, brushing the dust from his robe.
"Judging by the time, he should have already discovered his son’s corpse."
"That’s why we must hurry."
Ling Xiao tucked away the Jade Scroll.
"The entrance to Descending Immortal Realm opens in three days. With the City Lord’s temperament, he will surely set an ambush there."
Gu Sheng pondered for a moment.
