Chapter 152 The Truth That Shattered Everything

Ursa Instantly got mad. “Why are you hushing me?! Agrics, stop playing games and just say it!”

Agnes didn’t get angry. She just smiled faintly. “Shh, listen. Listen carefully.”

Ursa stared at her. Something about Agnes felt wrong. A cold feeling crept up her spine.

She stopped yelling and listened. From the main house, she could faintly hear a woman screaming–her voice rising and falling.

Then came a man’s furious shouting, followed by loud crashing sounds, like things being thrown and broken.

Ursa’s face turned pale. She looked at Agnes, confused and scared. “What is that? Agnes! What’s happening outside? Tell me!”

Agnes crossed her legs, calm and unhurried. “I think it’s time you start worrying about your future. Actually, no–you don’t need to worry. Forget it. Someone has already planned it out for you.”

Ursa clenched her fists. She was about to lose it. “You motherfucker! Just spit it out!”

Agnes smirked. “Why so angry? Can’t you tell whose voices those are? Don’t they sound familiar? Honestly… didn’t your parents raise you? You can’t even recognize their voices?”

Ursa’s heart dropped. “What did you do? Why are they fighting? What’s happening?!”

Agnes slowly took a few photos out of the envelope and placed them in front of her. Ursa’s pupils shrank instantly.

In the photos, her mother was wrapped up with another man–hugging, kissing, even making out in a car.

Ursa recognized this man. He had once worked as her mother’s private driver.

“You people are disgusting!” Ursa shouted. “You followed my mom and took these photos! What are you trying to do? Turn my dad against her and kick us out of the family?

“So what if my mom cheated? At worst, she gets kicked out. My brother and I are still Newtons!”

Agnes raised a brow. “Your mom cheated. You think your dad won’t be angry when he fees you? Won’t start questioning who you really are?”

“Cut the nonsense!” Ursa snapped. “Don’t try to scare me! When my mom brought us into the family, there was a DNA test. It’s all official, legally documented!

“If you dare hurt her, I won’t let you off. And Raymond too–this family doesn’t belong to him alone! The inheritance belongs to me and my brother too!

“He wants to take everything? Not happening. There are other elders in the family. They won’t let him do

whatever he wants!”

Agnes sighed softly. “Then take a good look at these.”

She pulled out two more documents from the envelope and thoughtfully flipped them to the last page before placing them in front of Ursa.

Ursa saw her name and Duncan’s name printed clearly on the two reports.

The results showed that neither of them was related to Joseph. Both of them were confirmed to be Jillian children.

But the real shock was this–Ursa and Duncan had the same mother, but different fathers.

In other words, neither of them belonged to the Newtons. They didn’t even share the same dad.

Ursa froze. It felt like a bolt of lightning had struck her. She couldn’t move at all.

Agnes let out a soft sigh. “Well, this is a mess. Your father got the same report today. So yeah, the whole house is in chaos right now. I bet your mom is trying her best to explain everything.*

She paused, then continued calmly,

“Soon, your dad will bring people to draw blood from you and Duncan for another test. But honestly, it’s a waste of time. The man who faked your mom’s report back then has already been found. He’s ready to confess how your mom bribed him. He even has a recording from back then.”

Agnes smiled faintly. “You three are in real trouble now.”

Ursa collapsed to the ground, her legs giving out.

She never expected her mother to have lived such a reckless life.

Before, no matter what she did–no matter how arrogant or reckless–she could always rely on the Newton name to protect her. Now, it was over.

“Agnes!” Ursa screamed. “You witch! You’ve hurt so many people. Aren’t you afraid of karma?!”

Agnes raised her hand and slapped her hard across the face. The smile on her face turned cold and twisted.

“Karma? What did I do to you?” she said slowly. “This is your karma. You and your mother bribed Linda. You had her put something in my food and made me lose my baby.”

Her eyes burned with hatred. “I’ve wanted to take a knife and cut you piece by piece, just so you can feel the same pain.”

Ursa gasped, her whole body trembling.

She… s–she knew?!

On the way here, Raymond had told Agnes everything, except for Hillary’s matter. He even gave her the DNA reports and proof of Jillian’s affair.

At that moment, Agnes had wanted to kill them all. But she decided against it.

Death was too easy. Living in pain–that was the real punishment.
