Chapter 250 Recruiting Holt

Meanwhile, after leaving Frostwind Pack, Damian went to pay his respects to King Vaughn.

After the usual formal greetings, he left with Delilah and the children, only to run into Estelle before they had even exited the Royal

Court.

The two smiled at each other.

“It’s been a long time, Damian.”

“It has. Estelle, it’s been a long time. You’ve grown even more beautiful.”

Damian and Estelle were siblings, with Damian being two days older than her.

At his words, Estelle’s smile warmed. “And you’ve grown more handsome too.”

Damian nodded, then had Delilah take the children ahead while he continued walking beside Estelle.

As they talked, he had his wolf spirit keep watch over the surroundings in case anyone was listening.

He briefly mentioned Elyse’s death, and from there, he couldn’t help thinking of Laila too.

“That Laila is truly insufferable. She already ran from the wedding and isn’t even Frostwind Pack’s Luna, yet she still had the nerve to try to throw me out of Frostwind Pack,” Damian said coldly.

The moment she heard Laila’s name, Estelle’s face turned cold as well.

Damian noticed at once. “You don’t like her either?”

Estelle’s voice went icy. “Don’t like her? I would skin her alive if I could.”

Damian grew thoughtful. “She’s Kain and Diana’s daughter.”

At the mention of Kain, a surge of hatred rolled through Estelle’s eyes. And with it came a heavy blow to her chest, as though struck by a hammer, leaving a dull ache through every inch of her body.

Her voice was merciless. “I’ll never forget the way he rejected me.”

“Forget the past. Otherwise you’ll only wound yourself,” Damian said softly. For all else, he still cared about Estelle as his sister.

“Wound myself?” Estelle let out a cold laugh. “Over him? Hardly. But seeing the Conlays, who were supposed to be extinct, suddenly reappear, and watching Laila gain Samuel’s affection and live in all that glory… yes, that does make me uncomfortable.”

Standing beside her, Damian made no effort to hide the killing intent in his eyes. “Glory is temporary. Once the time is right, killing her will only take a word from you.”

Estelle smoothed away the emotion in her gaze and asked, “What’s the situation in Greymoor County?”

But you know that Victoria’s brother, the Alpha of Blackrock Pack, is the one who replaced Samuel as commander of the kingdom’s army. So I think we should win Holt over and get both him
