Chapter 376 Tears at the Cliffside
Chapter 376 Tears at the Cliffside
Third-person POV:
Finneas’s whole body jolted.
That voice…
He half-stumbled, half-crawled down the slope.
When he got a clear look at the man who had just called him, he froze.

That face was so dirty it was almost unrecognizable. Cheekbones jutting out, eyes sunken deep…

“Finneas, it’s me, Terrence! It’s Terrence!” Terrence’s voice broke as tears mixed with the dirt on his face and streamed down.
“Oh my god!” Finneas stumbled forward and threw himself toward him, tears pouring from his eyes as he could barely get his words out. “I’m here!”
“Terrence?” Callum’s eyes widened in shock, too. “By the Moon! It’s really you!”
“Prince Vance is down there!” Terrence gritted his teeth, not daring to let his grip loosen even a fraction. “Hurry, help us!”
Flynn was at the very front of the line, his hands locked onto the rope. His entire face had flushed deep red, and the veins in his forehead looked ready to burst.
He had heard Callum’s voice-his brother’s voice-but he didn’t dare turn around or call out.
He was afraid that the second he opened his mouth, he’d lose the strength holding him together.
“Move, now!” Callum shouted.
A dozen men rushed forward, replacing the exhausted werewolves one by one and gripping the rope.
The exhausted men collapsed like puppets with their strings cut, gasping for air, unable to even lift an arm.
With the dozen fresh hands brought by Callum and Finneas, Samuel and William were quickly pulled up. But being dragged straight up the cliff face left them covered in gashes from the sharp gravel and rough rock. Their skin and fresh split open in bloody gashes.
Lying face down on the cliff edge, Samuel ignored the burning pain racking his body. The first thing he did was tell the others to carefully untie the rope binding William to him.
Flynn threw himself straight into Callum’s arms.
He broke down sobbing, like a lost wolf cub finally finding the scent of his pack again.
His body shook violently. Tears poured down his face, washing streaks through the soot and dirt covering his skin.
“Callum…” he cried so hard he could barely breathe. “I-I thought I’d never see you again…”
Callum stood frozen.

He’d seen this dark-faced man earlier. He’d seen those bloodshot eyes. But it hadn’t even crossed his mind.
He never imagined this unrecognizable, shockingly-thin shell of a man could be his brother.
He’d never imagined it.
Now he stood there stiffly as his arms slowly, slowly wrapped around Flynn and held him tightly.
He said nothing. He only rested his chin against Flynn’s head, his eyes so red they looked ready to bleed.
After a long moment, he suddenly pushed Flynn back, cupping his face with both hands as he looked him over again and again.
He looked completely different from before. Thinner, darker, with sharp cheekbones and deeply sunken eyes.
But Callum recognized him.
He recognized him.
Callum laughed and cried at the same time. His face was covered in tears, and his voice shook out of control. “You’ve gotten old… and ugly. How did you get this ugly?”
“Don’t just stand there celebrating,” Samuel panted, his hands shaking uncontrollably as the words forced their way out of his throat. “Check on the others.”
Once William was untied from Samuel’s back, they laid him flat on the ground. They called out to him again and again, but he didn’t give any reaction.
Callum and Finneas looked over the eight faces one by one. Tears blurred their vision.
Thank god…
So many of them are alive. Thank God.
But right now, William’s life mattered most.
None of them had any medical knowledge. The only thing they could do was crush up more pills, shove them into his mouth, and tilt his jaw back to make him swallow.
could fix it. But Greer couldn’t do much either. What she specialized in was curses and witchcraft. If someone was hexed, William’s injuries were purely physical, injuries inflicted upon flesh and bone. They had nothing to do with curses.
Then a roar rose from the bottom of the cliff.
“Get up there!”
It was Victor. He and his men had caught up.
But in front of a 300-foot vertical cliff, even his elite fighters would struggle to climb up.
“This is Ovilan territory!”
Victor’s voice thundered up from the valley below, every word burning with rage. “Anyone who sets foot in Ovila dies!”
