"I'm having a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Would you like some? Did you have your dinner?" Noelle asked.

"I forgot," Cedric replied. Noelle sighed softly at his answer and had the housekeepers bring him something to eat.

He took off his coat and changed into comfortable clothes before looking at her. "Did you have dinner with my mom today?"

"Yeah, but Laura was there too. She was clearly trying to convince the other wealthy ladies not to withdraw their support. PZ Group probably wants to use Mia as a case study to keep the rest of the investors calm."

"Well, that's some good news, too. We managed to save one person's investment."

Noelle nodded. "You're right."

"Ivy has started negotiations to buy Mike back. It looks like she's worried he'll spill PZ Group's secrets."

Noelle's lips curled into a cold smile. "She's been hiding in the shadows all this time, and now we're finally about to grab her by the tail."

"There's more. Someone visited Mr. Q in prison," Cedric announced.

"Are they Ivy's men?" Noelle asked as she looked over.

"Yeah. Looks like we made the right guess. Ivy's probably connected to that car accident all those years ago."

"When can we close the net?" Noelle asked as she pursed her lips.

"It'll take time. We haven't found where Ivy's funds are hidden."

"We haven't? Weren't those funds supposed to be in the accounts this whole time?" Noelle's heart clenched nervously.

"That's what we thought at first, but from what we've uncovered, most of the funds are not in PZ Group's official accounts. They were transferred away."

"So what now?"
