Eugene noticed her pale face and asked, "What's wrong? You don't look so good."

"It's nothing. Why did Ivy visit the mental hospital?"

"We're still investigating. My men dared not get too close as they were scared her people would find out. But she wouldn't go there without a reason."

She'd long suspected that Xenia wasn't dead and might have been taken away by Ivy. Back then, Cedric had turned the city upside down and failed to locate Xenia.

Ivy was being extra careful. If she'd hidden Xenia in a local mental hospital, Cedric's men would never have thought to search there.

The more Noelle thought about it, the more concerned she was. Xenia was most likely hidden in Pineview Psychiatric Hospital.

Eugene nodded. "I'll have my men focus their search. We'll be more efficient after narrowing the scope."

"Start with that focus. If it leads nowhere, we'll regroup and adjust."

Deep down, Noelle had a gut feeling that Xenia was there. And if they found her, things could get really interesting.

After leaving the hospital, Noelle's thoughts drifted to her past life and how she'd died in that mental hospital. It'd been during a bitterly cold winter like this one.
