Chapter 178 Blooddrinkers on the Front Line
Alan shook his head “With an AAAAA–rank healing ability, he should be fine.”
Everyone relaxed a little. Staying alive was all that mattered.
Peter looked at Steven.
“You little punk, what was that stunt back there? Trying to look cool? I ought to smack you.”

Steven gave a bitter smile. “I didn’t have a choice. If I hadn’t gone all in, I was dead for sure. That thing would’ve dragged me down.
And I was so close too. That monster pulled back at the last second. Otherwise, I would’ve shattered its beast crystal with one strike.”
He grinned. “You’re not jealous because my spear move looked awesome, right? That’s my secret
echnique. Bet you can’t pull that off.”
Peter snorted and glared at him. “Can’t do it? You kidding me?”
But deep down, he had to admit it. That strike really had been incredible.
Alan and the others were already absorbing divine crystals to recover.
Peter glanced at Steven again.
You not recovering too?”
Steven laughed helplessly inside. Recover? He wanted to. But if anyone saw his Beast Energy Conversion ability, that would cause huge trouble.
Besides, he honestly didn’t feel that drained.
The power inside his beast–type Divine Sigil still felt full.
By normal logic, the amount of energy he had should’ve been four times greater than an SSS–rank user
That was why he still felt strong even now.
Steven shrugged. “I’m only a Level 2 One–Sigil Awakened. Recover from what? I mostly tight with stamina
and skill.”
Peter narrowed his eyes. Then what was that golden light carlier?
“You sure about that?”
Steven avoided eye contact.
“Old man, you talk too much. I’m fine, aren’t I?”
Peter cursed under his breath. “Just be careful. Don’t go dying on me.”

Steven smirked. “You should worry about yourself, old man.”
While they were talking, a terrifying flash of electric light suddenly burst out ahead of them, near the city
wall.
Crack!
Everyone turned toward it.
Military had made their move.
The massive electric slaughter grid had activated. The number of beasts dying right now was probably in the tens of thousands.
Olivia’s voice came through the comms.
“The beasts are turning back. Prepare for battle.”
Everyone’s expression hardened.
Another round was coming. And this one was going to be brutal.
One after another, they got into fighting position.
Alan held his saber across his chest while his aura slowly gathered.
At that moment, Steven could feel Alan becoming more and more terrifying.
It was almost unnatural.
So this was the pressure of Ashen’s captain?
Peter said, “Leave the barrier stake to me. You guys go kill.”
Nicole shook her head. “Hold on. Let the captain make one move first.”
Steven and Fiona both looked at her in confusion.
Nicole calmly replied, “Just watch.”
Ahead of them, huge waves of beasts rushed out from the streets and alleys of the civilian district
2:09 pm
Then time began moving again.
Steven and Fiona watched in shock as the charging beasts kept moving forward from momentum alone before their bodies suddenly split apart midair.
Every single one of them was cut clean in half. Blood sprayed everywhere
Broken bodies and severed limbs rained across the battlefield.
Both of them stared with their eyes wide open.
One slash had killed over a hundred beasts!? And many of them were Level 2 beasts!
The two of them could only swallow hard in disbelief.

Steven was completely stunned.
Even Divine Knights probably couldn’t do something like this.
Just how monstrous was their captain?
Before Steven could even recover from the shock, Alan had already charged into the battlefield.
Steven turned toward Nicole and Louie. Their faces held nothing but admiration.
Louie let out a long sigh. “Captain’s still insanely awesome.”
Nicole suddenly said, “They should give Captain a title. Asura Blade suits him well.”
Steven blinked.
Nicole smiled faintly. “Yes, Asura Blade.”
Nicole and Louie had already rushed forward.
Fiona followed them into battle too.
