Chapter 201 Flattened
“What’s wrong with Too low–rank for you?”
Steven’s face twitched. Too low?
He had almost given himself away.
“No! No!
“Grandpa, I mean, isn’t the rank a little too high? It’s kind of flashy. Not exactly low–key.”
“Do you want it or not? If you don’t, give it back.”
“I want it! Of course I want it.” Steven quickly hugged it tighter.
Inside, though, Steven was completely baffled.
Why is it S–rank?
That makes no sense.
Finished
In my last life, it was clearly B–rank. If Grandpa owned S–rank gear back then, he definitely would have given it to me. So why is he giving it to me now?
Holy crap. This is S–rank.
Why am I even overthinking it?
S–rank armor. An S–rank combat weapon.
S–rank armor could boost his strength by 70%.
As for defense, that went without saying.
This would basically make him invincible.
Steven was completely stunned.
Would this draw too much attention?
Steven gave a bitter little smile inwardly. Grandpa really knows how to play the game. I can’t read him at all.
He could toss out S–rank armor like it was nothing.
Is Grandpa secretly some hidden powerhouse?
But why can’t the Eye of Insight see through him at all?
While Steven was still turning it over in his head, Brian suddenly said, “Call Bianca in.”
Steven answered, then put away the armor and weapon first before holding on to the Combat Art Crystal.

Then he went to call Bianca.
Bianca came bouncing is cheerful as ever.
“Mr. Fisher, you wanted to see me?
Brian turned his head, his face warm with a gentle smile.
“Come here, sweetheart. I’ve got something good for you.”
Steven froze.
Oh. So that’s how it is. Playing favorites now?
She’s your real granddaughter, huh?
Steven nearly rolled his eyes into the sky.
Am Leven his biological grandson?
When Grandpa dealt with me, his face couldn’t have been colder.
But with Bianca? Just look at him. Is this still that icy old man?
Forget it. End me.
Bianca’s eyes curved into little crescents. “What is it?”
Brian waved behind him.
A set of purple armor inlaid with flowing gold appeared, clearly made for a woman.
Steven’s eyes nearly popped out.
Another S–rank!
And it’s newer than mine.
Fine. Bianca is definitely the favorite.
Bianca froze.
“This is for me?”
Brian smiled and nodded. “Yes. Do you like it? It should fit
you
well.”
Bianca was overwhelmed.
“This looks like S–rank armor. It’s too valuable. I can’t take it.”
Pp
Damn. That was smooth.
Old people really are crafty. Is he locking in his future granddaughter–in–law just like that?
Steven muttered inwardly.
Is Grandpa really some incredible hidden master?

That doesn’t seem right.
Or were my parents insanely powerful when they were alive?
Bianca kept chatting with her mother. The mother and daughter seemed to have endless things to say.
Steven was just about to go inside and check the Combat Art Crystal to see what good thing his parents had left him.
“Steven! Look! The Read estate got destroyed!” Bianca cried out.
Steven jolted.
“What?”
Steven quickly leaned over.
Bianca opened the image on Starlink.
The Read estate had been flattened.
Steven was deeply shocked.
“Good Lord. That’s insane. Rowenville’s second–largest family actually got wiped off the map just like that?”
Bianca nodded too. “It says an unknown powerhouse did it. Someone terrifying. They leveled the whole place with one palm strike.
“And the Reads‘ resource exchange and one of their equipment stores were destroyed too. Everything got cleaned out, and the Reads don’t even dare say a word.”
Steven was shaken.
“Wow. Incredible. I wonder what kind of monster did it. The Reads have a Divine King watching over them, and they still ended up like this.
“But this is good too. Let’s see if Spencer still dares act arrogant now.”
Bianca smiled. “He’ll probably keep his head down for a while.”
Steven smiled and nodded. “Alright. You keep talking with Mrs. White. I’m going to check out this combat art in my room.”
