212 It’s Beyond Dangerous
Steven pushed aside the turmoil in his thoughts.
He looked at everyone.
The
group remained confused.
Pulling Alan aside, Steven lowered his voice and said carefully, “Captain, this mission is extremely dangerous. Everyone could die.”
Alan’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Although the others were curious, none of them interrupted.
Alan stared at Steven. “You’ll ride in my car when we leave the city.”
Steven met his gaze and nodded. There was nothing he could do to stop it.
One by one, the 20 squads continued arriving.
Olivia had already gone to collect the mission equipment.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Cara shyly approached Alan.
“Did you work out the cooperation details with our captain?”
Truthfully, she didn’t even know what she wanted to talk about.
ไม
She simply wanted an excuse to say a few words to him.
Just a few words would be enough.
Cara’s outfit was admittedly a little revealing, but she was naturally beautiful. Dressing that way to meet Alan had been one of her little tricks.
Alan glanced at her indifferently. “We’ll discuss it when the time comes.”
“I see.”
For once, Cara looked genuinely shy.
The other teammates watched with amusement.
“I texted you. Why didn’t you reply?” she asked softly, fiddling with her fingers.
Alan remained as cold as ever. “I was busy.”
After tossing out those words, he turned and walked away.
“Hey, Alan! Be careful out there!”

Alan didn’t respond. A trace of resentment appeared in Cara’s eyes.
Just then. Olivia returneskand snapped, “Hey, Cara, quit trying to seduce our captain!”
Cara puffed out her cheeks. “I’m not arguing with someone who doesn’t even have any curves. He never said he’s dating you, so why can’t I flirt with him? Mind your own business!”
With a sway of her hips, she walked off.
Olivia snorted. “Shameless!”
Watching the scene, Steven was left speechless.
So Olivia had this side to her.
Peter stepped beside him and whispered, “Pretty entertaining, right? Those two have never gotten along
Steven forced a smile. He had no energy to pay attention to things like that.
Right now, he was desperately trying to remember every detail he could about Operation Moonfall from his previous life.
But back then, it had been nothing more than a tragic story he had heard in passing. He knew almost none of the specifics.
The military had never revealed the true reason so many people died during Operation Moonfall. That was a major problem.
Steven sighed inwardly.
Maybe when he had a chance to speak privately, Alan might listen to some of his warnings.
Finally, everything was ready.
The gates were about to open.
Alan exchanged looks with Sebastian and a few other team captains before boarding their armored cars.
r
Steven climbed aboard as well.
Steven let out a silent sigh. “Operation Moonfall is extremely dangerous. No, it’s beyond dangerous. There’s a very real chance that we…”
His words trailed off. Anyone who heard what he was about to say would probably think he had lost his
mind.
It made no sense.
୮
Nothing had happened yet. He had no evidence. A few words from him alone couldn’t possibly change anything.
Alan asked, “Why do you think that? Or rather, what makes you come to that conclusion?”
Olivia listened carefully as well. She had already sensed that something felt off.
And now, Steven was practically saying that this mission could end with massive casualties.
Steven sighed.
Olivia asked, “How bad do you think the casualty rate will be?”

Chapter 212 # Peyond Dangerous
“Ninety percent.”
Olivia’s heart skipped a beat. Even Alan’s pupils contracted slightly.
That meant that out of the 12 members of their team, maybe only one or two would survive.
In truth, Steven was already being somewhat conservative,
“Why would you have that feeling?” Olivia asked. “You don’t actually know anything”
