Bianca looked embarrassed.

“Thank you, Brian.”

Brian smiled kindly. “No need to thank me. Come, today’s a happy occasion. You kids are adults now too, so everyone can have a little drink!”

Steven quickly poured drinks for everyone.

They raised their glasses together, and Bianca only took a tiny sip.

The atmosphere felt warm and harmonious, almost like a real family.

“Brian, I don’t want to join the military. Steven’s going to the Academy, and I want to stay with him.”

Truthfully, joining the military directly really was the best choice for her.
