Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 965

"Elena, you're back!" Amanda Whelan exclaimed, her face lighting up with joy.

Elena walked past them without a single word.

Seeing his daughter's dead-eyed expression, Daniel instantly dismissed his squabbling brothers. He signaled for the butler, Arthur, to throw them off the property and ensure they didn't come near the estate again.

Elena sank onto the living room sofa, staring blankly ahead. She hadn't said a word since stepping through the door.

Daniel and Amanda exchanged a deeply concerned glance. They had already been briefed on Dylan's tragic death.

Sean had called ahead, asking them to offer her whatever comfort they could.

The couple had spent the last two days too sick to eat or sleep, devastated that what was supposed to be a vacation had ended in such a nightmare.

Dylan had been so young, and he was just gone!

It broke their hearts to see how much tragedy their daughter continually had to endure.

"Elena, sweetie, your mother and I heard what happened," Daniel said gently. "Please, try not to let it destroy you. You have to keep looking forward, okay? You still have your whole life ahead of you."

"He's right, honey. You still have us, your brothers, and Claire! Please don't do anything reckless. We need our family whole," Amanda added, wiping her eyes.

Seeing how much weight Elena had lost pained them endlessly.

"I know, Mom, Dad," Elena finally whispered. "I just came to tell you that I'm taking Dylan to live in the Outer Northern Farmlands. Unless it's an absolute emergency, please don't look for me."

Before they could protest, Elena stood up and walked out.

Amanda turned to Daniel, completely baffled. "What does she mean, she's taking Dylan to live in the farmlands? Isn't he..."

"Let her be. She just can't let go yet." Daniel let out a heavy sigh.

Outer Northern Farmlands.

Elena returned to the old, rundown farmhouse where his family used to live.

It was incredibly dilapidated, but with a little cleaning, it was habitable. She didn't care about luxury anymore.

She and Dylan had shared some beautiful memories here. That was all that mattered.

She arranged Dylan's cryopreserved body in a specialized cryogenic unit, applying rare botanical compounds to permanently halt any tissue degradation.

Over the past year, they had visited a few times, but Elena rarely spoke more than a sentence or two to them.

Eventually, they had stopped coming altogether, afraid to disrupt her fragile peace unless absolutely necessary.

Today, they had mustered up all their courage to visit, terrified of upsetting her.

"Elena! Are you there? We came to see you!" Amanda called out.

A moment later, the heavy gates swung open.

Seeing their daughter for the first time in months, they noticed she had grown even thinner.

For an entire year, she had been a husk of her former self, cold and detached. Not a single smile had graced her lips.

Living alongside a frozen tragedy had turned her into a walking ghost.

"What do you need?" Elena asked flatly.

"Well... Ben is getting married tomorrow," Amanda began nervously. "The whole family talked about it, and we felt you needed to know. Ben desperately wants you at his and Elise's wedding. If it weren't for you, they never would have ended up together. You're the reason they found happiness."
