Lan Qingman left.
Old Scar shut the door again. Just as he was about to head inside,
Qin Wenhao leaped from the tree, tackling Old Scar to the ground.
He clamped his hands on Old Scar’s head, pinning his face to the ground.
"Who—" Old Scar tried to fight back, but he was pinned so tightly he couldn’t move an inch.
He was stunned.
He was, after all, twice as strong as an ordinary man—a veritable strongman since childhood.
Almost no one could overpower him.
He’d certainly never been in a situation like this—where escape felt impossible.
He was even struggling to breathe.
"Talk. Where’s the child?" Qin Wenhao’s voice was seething with rage.
His eyes were bloodshot.
’If it weren’t for needing information about his niece, he would have beaten this scum to death on the spot.’
Hearing this, Old Scar immediately recalled what Lan Qingman had just said.
He instantly guessed the man’s identity—it had to be the special forces uncle Lan Qingman had mentioned, Qin Wenhao.
"Let me go! I don’t know anything about a child! You’re breaking and entering! I’m going to call the cops and have you arrested—"
Qin Wenhao couldn’t tolerate such stubborn defiance.
He immediately rained punch after punch down on the man’s head—
In moments, Old Scar’s head was spinning from the blows.
In the blink of an eye, blood was everywhere—it was impossible to tell where it was all coming from.
His breathing grew shallow.
"I’ll ask you one more time: where is the child?" Qin Wenhao’s voice was bone-chilling.
"I... I... I don’t know what you’re talking about—" Old Scar’s voice was barely a whisper. If not for his survival instinct, he probably wouldn’t have been able to make a sound at all.
He was breathing out more than he was breathing in—
’Looking at him, Qin Wenhao knew this piece of trash would keep his mouth shut.’
’He had ways to make the scum talk, but it would waste time—the one thing he couldn’t afford to lose.’
