The hospital director beside her spoke up immediately:
"I asked Doctor Xie to come over. She just finished in another operating room and happened to overhear you. Why don’t we let her go in and check on the patient first?"
Mrs. Qin had met Doctor Xie before. She also knew from Fu Mingxue that although the doctor was young, her medical skills were truly exceptional.
She immediately pleaded with Doctor Xie, "Doctor Xie, please, save my granddaughter. She’s so young—"
Doctor Xie glanced at her. "It’s my duty as a doctor. Now, all of you, please step aside. Don’t waste any more time."
At her words, everyone backed away to the side.
Doctor Xie went straight into the emergency room, followed by the other doctor and the director.
The fact that the doctor was a young woman didn’t bother Mr. Qin.
After all, geniuses exist, and he never underestimated a talented young woman.
Take his younger daughter-in-law, Fu Mingxue, for example. Wasn’t she incredibly skilled in her own field?
His own daughter was an excellent pilot, after all!
Doctor Xie didn’t emerge after going inside, but other doctors did come out to have the family sign a surgical consent form.
Time dragged on, second by agonizing second.
Though it was now the dead of night, no one felt the slightest bit sleepy. Their hearts were filled with nothing but worry and tension—
Six hours went by. It was now five in the morning.
Dawn was breaking outside.
Just then, the emergency room doors opened.
A doctor emerged first.
The Qin Family swarmed forward. "How is she?"
"Congratulations. The surgery was a success. The patient is being moved to a room now."
Mrs. Qin pressed her palms together, silently thanking the heavens.
The rest of the Qin Family were also overjoyed.
