"Then I’ll go pick you up!"
The moment Qin Wenhao said that, Fu Mingxue immediately shot him down. "You don’t have to. I’ll get back on my own."
’Are you kidding? If he came to pick me up, how would I get all my stuff out?’
Qin Wenhao: ...?
"I don’t know when I’ll be back. I might get off work early, or I might be late. So you don’t need to come get me. Besides, my bike is really fast—it’s automatic—so I’ll be home in no time."
"Aren’t you still injured? You should just focus on recovering. Next time—"
Fu Mingxue couldn’t bring herself to finish the sentence.
’After the way he acted last night... how could he possibly still be injured?’
Just then, Qin Wenhao added in a low, teasing voice, "Honey, didn’t you already confirm how I was doing last night? More than once, even."
Fu Mingxue nearly choked on her own spit when she heard that.
Shock didn’t even begin to describe the look on her face.
’Does this guy even know what he’s saying?’
’In broad daylight... h-how could he say something like that?’
’Thank goodness the kids are still asleep and not in here.’
She shot him a fierce glare. "Shut up. You’re not picking me up."
Then, her face burning, she went to wash up.
What she didn’t see was the wide grin spreading across Qin Wenhao’s face. He never expected his wife to be this shy.
’They were a real married couple, after all. What was there they hadn’t seen of each other? To think she’d blush over something like that.’
Just then, a voice calling for "Grandma" came from his mother-in-law’s room. The kids were obviously awake.
So he went to his mother-in-law’s room to get the children dressed.
After Fu Mingxue finished washing up, she went to check on the kids as well.
But Qin Wenhao was quicker. He was unbelievably fast at dressing the two kids.
One in each hand.
Fu Mingxue saw the cowlicks sticking up on both kids’ heads and thought they were absolutely adorable.
"Oh, my little treasures are awake! Come on, give Mommy a kiss—"
