Qin Wenhao glanced at the time.
"Honey, it’s eleven. Time for bed. You have to go to school tomorrow."
Hearing this, Fu Mingxue glanced at her watch—it really was eleven o’clock.
She had been cramming all evening.
Fifty yuan an hour—aside from the first two hours which were free, she had spent a hundred and fifty yuan on the other three hours.
Suddenly, the two-thousand-yuan reward she received during the day didn’t seem so great anymore.
After all, a day of studying ended up costing so much money.
’Oh well, something is better than nothing.’
She got up, washed her face, and then lay down on the bed.
Qin Wenhao immediately reached out and pulled her into his arms.
"Go to sleep."
He wasn’t some kind of animal who would insist on *that* when his wife was so exhausted.
Just as Fu Mingxue was about to close her eyes, she suddenly remembered something very important.
She shot upright. "Oh no, this is bad! We haven’t called my mom since we got here."
Yesterday, from the moment she entered the Qin family home, she had been too busy chatting with the Qin Family, then she took a nap, and then came over here to watch Qin Wenhao clean.
She hadn’t even thought about calling the military base.
Her sudden movement startled him.
He thought something terrible had happened, but it was just about the phone call.
He immediately said, "Don’t worry, I called the base this morning. I had the communications officer get our mom to the phone. I told her we were too busy to call yesterday and that you were starting school today."
Fu Mingxue shot him a sidelong glance. "Why didn’t you tell me?"
Qin Wenhao had forgotten about it too.
"Sorry, it just slipped my mind."
Fu Mingxue wasn’t really blaming him. "It’s fine. As long as you called, that’s what matters!"
She lay back down.
「The next day.」
Qin Wenhao offered to take her to school, but this time, Fu Mingxue refused.
