Qin Wenhao finished the dishes, then went to take a shower.
After changing into a clean set of clothes, he came out, ready to have a chat with his two children.
"Come here, Keke. Come to Daddy."
Qin Keke blinked her big eyes, staring at this very tan man.
’My daddy doesn’t look like Little Black!’
Qin Keke’s cognitive abilities were actually quite developed.
Seeing this, Mrs. Fu said with a smile, "She probably didn’t recognize you because you’ve gotten so tan."
Qin Wenhao’s expression instantly froze.
’My daughter doesn’t recognize me because I’m tan?’
’Just how tan am I? Even my mother-in-law said it.’
"Hao Hao, Keke, this is your daddy. Quick, go give Daddy a hug."
Mrs. Fu gave the twins a gentle nudge.
The twins didn’t move. They just stared at Qin Wenhao.
Qin Wenhao was speechless.
’Have I changed that much? So much that even my own children don’t recognize me?’
He held out his arms. "Come here."
The two little ones did have some memory of him, after all.
After a moment’s hesitation, they walked toward their very tan father.
Seeing them approach, Qin Wenhao immediately reached out, scooping them up and setting them on his lap.
"What’s this? You really didn’t recognize your daddy?"
"Daddy—" Qin Keke called out in her small, sweet voice.
And Qin Hao, after making sure, also called out crisply, "Daddy!"
Hearing those two calls of "Daddy," a smile immediately spread across Qin Wenhao’s face.
"Good kids! Have you been listening to Grandma while I was away?"
"Yes!" the two children answered in unison.
"Grandma’s nice!"
This remark made Mrs. Fu absolutely beam.
