Just then, Director Zheng spoke up. "Fu Mingxue, since Ms. Qi is so insistent, you might as well go meet with her."
Seeing that even Director Zheng had spoken up, Fu Mingxue felt she couldn’t very well refuse him.
So, she nodded. "I have a class this afternoon, so it would have to be during lunch. If that can be arranged, then fine."
"That can be arranged. We can leave right away. Ms. Qi is waiting for you."
Since they had put it that way, Fu Mingxue nodded.
"Alright, let’s go."
The two staff members immediately led the way out.
Fu Mingxue had to lock her office door, so she waited for everyone else to leave before closing it.
Director Zheng didn’t go with them.
He watched Fu Mingxue leave, then returned to his own office.
The car was parked right at the school gate. Fu Mingxue subconsciously frowned at such a conspicuous display.
Still, she got in the car without a word.
Just then, she noticed a man in the front passenger seat.
’Isn’t that Rong Jun?’
Rong Jun turned his head to look at her. "Fu Mingxue, you’re a hard woman to find."
Fu Mingxue detected the veiled sarcasm in his tone.
"As hard as I am to find, you still found me, didn’t you?"
Her voice was perfectly calm.
Rong Jun was once again infuriated by her attitude.
’What is wrong with this mother and daughter?’
’Why is each one more sharp-tongued than the last?’
’Don’t get angry. I can’t get angry.’
With that thought, much of his irritation dissipated.
"Fu Mingxue, you know perfectly well that we might be cousins—"
"Is a waste of space like you all the Rong Family can produce? Do you not know what you should and shouldn’t say? You’re just spouting baseless accusations without any facts to back them up?"
