Chapter 130
Raven POV
She’s like a wild woman possessed. The loss of her engagement and Hades has pushed Marissa over the edge. I prepare myself for another attack, my body tensing. Hades can’t intervene, lest he sets her off. As I wait,
anticipation flooding through me, I hear a strange voice inside my head.
This bitch is crazy. Just like her mother. Spoilt little bitch who thinks the world revolves around her
They snort, sounding amused. My breathing catches, and I feel confused.
What the fuck? It wasn’t my voice I was hearing inside my mind. It was different. It was almost as though it was sneering, its voice firm and confident. Like it was enjoying this, I frowned. Was I beginning to lose my mind? Had/ all the stress finally gotten to me?
You’re not losing your mind, dumbass. Christ. One would think you were smarter than this. Fuck me, do I need to spell it out for you, the voice huffed crudely. I am your wolf, you dummy! You know the big fluffy furry thing that you shifters tend to transform into? A beautiful one at that I might add, she added with satisfaction, and super fluffy.
She sounds a little vain. I fight against the desire, the desperation in wanting to believe them, but it’s impossible.
Listen to me, cause I’m only going to explain this once. We’re going to shift into my wolf form, okay? I want you to close your eyes and imagine changing. I’ll take care of the rest. It’s going to hurt, but it will only take seconds as opposed to hours. Then we can beat this weak ass bitch and find something better to do with our time. By the way, my name is Luna not Wolf!
I was breathing heavily. Marissa was circling, wary. I had nothing to lose. I closed my eyes, envisioning a wolf, a white one coming to mind. Something inside of me snapped, my bones suddenly breaking and shifting as I screamed. The pain was horrendous; unlike anything I could describe. Within moments, it was over, and I reopened them to find myself on all fours. I glanced at my paws. All white. I was a white wolf and not only that, as I looked at a stunned Marissa, I saw that I was much, much bigger than hers. My lips curled back into a malicious smile. Now the odds were in my favor. Marissa was going to have to try a lot harder now if she wanted to kill me, and judging by the shocked expression on her face, she knew it too.
Told you we were fluffy. Look at Marissa, she’s minuscule in comparison to us. She doesn’t stand a chance now. Let’s play with her, my wolf said excitedly.
Great. She sounded like somebody who enjoyed toying with others. She was no doubt sadistic. I sighed, but couldn’t hold her back.
Before I could answer, Marissa let out a snarl and raced directly towards us. I reacted, almost instinctively, meeting her head on. We wrestled, my paws scratching, clawing, and my jaws clamping on her arm. She howled, backing away, blood matting her fur. She lunged again, and we swung our tail, sending her flying across the ground. When she stood up, she was limping, her eyes still flashing with anger. I pawed the ground and sure enough, she tried to jump. We met mid-air, tackling her to the ground as she hit the ground with a heavy thud. I snarled, clamping my jaws on her neck, my paws holding her body down as she whimpered. She’d lost and she knew it. I waited, bated breath, for her to surrender, not desiring her death. At least not now. I still wanted her to pay. A quick death was far too merciful for the likes of her. I wanted to break her into a million tiny pieces and leave her completely shattered.
