Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 1291

Remington raised an eyebrow, looking at Lizetta.

"See that? You gave birth to a little foodie."

Lizetta did not know whether to laugh or cry. She gently patted Joy's back, signaling the little guy to slow down, and then turned to Remington.

"So he was just hungry. How did you know?"

Even though Joy was already this big, she and Remington were still entirely new to parenting.

When Lizetta had seen Joy crying moments ago, she had panicked, completely oblivious to the fact that the baby might just be hungry. Clearly, Remington was adapting to his new role much faster than she was.

He lifted his chin with a hint of smugness.

"It's the natural bond between a father and son. So, drop any ideas about keeping the kid and ditching the dad."

Lizetta was speechless.

She wanted to protest her innocence and ask when she had ever planned to ditch him, but as she parted her lips, she realized she actually had considered it before.

Meeting Remington's deep, teasing gaze, Lizetta nodded.

"Alright, alright, I get it. Our family is going to stay together forever, right, Joy?"

She smiled, leaning down to kiss Joy's soft cheek.

Thinking of something, she looked back at Remington.

"Don't just shove the pacifier into his mouth the second he starts crying from now on. He could choke."

Remington knew that since they had just gotten Joy back, Lizetta was incredibly anxious about the baby.

Plus, her advice was genuinely something to keep in mind.

He nodded receptively. "Please guide me well in the future, rookie mom."

Lizetta smiled, her lips curving into a beautiful arc.

"Rookie dad, let's learn together and become a pair of qualified parents."

She was terrified that the little guy had completely forgotten who she was.

Remington stared at little Joy, narrowing his eyes slightly.

He had fed the little guy, but not so the kid could steal his woman away, and certainly not to make her sad.

Remington's gaze carried a faint warning, as if telling the kid to know his place.

But Joy completely ignored his father. His big eyes stared at Lizetta for a moment before he unhappily puckered his little mouth.

Lizetta's heart clenched in pain, but before the feeling could spread, Joy suddenly tossed the bottle aside, threw himself into her arms, and wrapped his arms tightly around her neck.

Held so securely by the little guy, Lizetta felt her arms fill with a soft, warm bundle.

The child's reliance and affectionate enthusiasm instantly replaced the ache in her heart with overwhelming warmth.

She hugged Joy, unable to kiss him enough. Her maternal love overflowed as she breathed in his sweet, milky scent, her voice choking up.

"Joy remembers mommy. Mommy is so happy! Thank you, my sweet baby!"
