As Red entered the Law Well, he felt his Energy dropping. The corroding effects of Major Darkness were not to be underestimated, and Immortal Darkness was even more dangerous.
'It doesn't feel alive,' Kyle thought as he sensed the corroding darkness, 'but that doesn't mean much. I haven't even properly looked at it yet. Let's see how it reacts to my perception.'
Compared to Auspicious Starsky, Kyle could control his perception much better. At this moment, the Immortal Darkness felt mildly dangerous. Kyle decided to ignore the Immortal Darkness' threat. He knew that he wasn't truly in danger since he could just leave whenever he wanted.
The feelings of danger vanished, and in response...
Kyle's Energy dropped even faster than before. In fact, if he weren't a Unique Ascendant already, he might have already died.
Nevertheless, Kyle remained inside the Law Well, and his Energy kept dropping rapidly.
When his Energy was lowered to 20% of its maximum, he took the situation seriously and flew towards the edge of the Law Well. After all, if he kept staying here, he would die.
Teleportation wasn't possible since Immortal Darkness stabilized the surrounding space.
But then, Kyle noticed that his Avatar couldn't fly out of the Law Well. It was like the Law Well was expanding endlessly.
'It can't expand endlessly,' he thought as Red narrowed his eyes. 'These kinds of Law Wells can't move, which means I'm still within its original vicinity. Based on my calculations, I should already be outside, but I'm still inside.'
'That means there's some kind of fuckery going on. I probably can't trust my own perception anymore. Maybe that's how Immortal Darkness interacts with perception. Not sure if all of the Immortal Elements interact with perception in some way, but it's possible that Immortal Darkness does. While I feel like I'm flying forward, I might actually be flying in circles.'
While Kyle was analyzing Immortal Darkness, he ordered Black to move away from the World Floor.
As Black left the vicinity of the World Floor, the Primordial Forces around him stabilized, allowing Kyle to build a spatial connection between Red and Black. Now, he could tell where Red was in relation to Black.
'As expected, space is distorted,' Kyle thought. 'Red is just flying in circles.'
Red locked onto Black and changed his trajectories in accordance with the perceived distance between the two Avatars.
Red flew forwards, backward, upwards, downwards, left, and right in a chaotic mess of movements. From Red's perspective, it looked like Red was just moving in random directions, but from Black's perspective, it looked like Red was moving directly towards him.
Mere moments after Kyle had established the connection between the two Avatars, Red shot out of the Law Well.
Red's Energy refilled almost immediately, and Red turned back to look at the Law Well.
'Without another Avatar, it's almost impossible to get out. Even more, the rate at which my Energy dropped was crazy. After all, I have a ridiculous amount of Energy.'
'I knew that Law Wells for Immortal Elements would be dangerous, but this is too much. You essentially need to be a Fulfilled Ascendant to even get a chance at experiencing Immortal Darkness.'
'There has to be an easier way.'
Red entered the Law Well once again, and his Energy started to lower.
'Last time, the drain on my Energy intensified when I thought that Immortal Darkness wasn't dangerous. Let's try the opposite.'
