"If they're married..." The man paused, seemingly choosing his words. "For a wife to be pushed far enough to get physical, the husband must have done something incredibly screwed up. Something totally unforgivable."

The slight crease between Sebastian's brows smoothed out. "Go on."

"She's got to be deeply disappointed in him. Honestly, I'd say it's a massive red flag that their marriage is falling apart."

Sebastian paused with the cigarette halfway to his lips. "Falling apart?"

"Yeah. Things aren't like the old days where couples fought all the time. Nowadays, getting physical crosses a major line. A slap to the face, especially? That's humiliating. If it's escalated to that level, there's probably zero love left between them."

The faintest ghost of a smirk played on Sebastian's lips. "About that motorcycle you wanted—call the estate manager. He'll give you the keys."

The man on the other end gasped. "Holy shit. I've been begging you for that bike forever and you always said no. Why the sudden change of heart?"

"Do you want it or not?"
