The Love I Begged For Was Never Real novel Chapter 323

Gideon's physical constitution far surpassed that of an ordinary man. The severe fractures and internal trauma that would leave anyone else bedridden for over half a year healed remarkably fast on him.

The attending physician looked increasingly relaxed during his daily rounds, and the tangled mess of vital sign monitors were removed one by one.

Nora no longer kept a constant vigil by his bedside, day and night, refusing to leave his side like she had in the beginning.

A new jewelry design project at Lawrence Atelier had been entirely stalled for over half a month due to Gideon's accident.

The client had called incessantly to rush them, and a mountain of complicated follow-up tasks awaited. She needed to personally step in and get everything back on track.

Early that morning, Nora changed into a sharp, professional suit. She organized her design drafts and carefully slipped them into a manila folder.

Turning around, she glanced at Gideon, who was leaning against the bed, scrolling through a tablet.

Dressed in a pristine hospital gown, he was entirely focused on dealing with the backlog of core documents for The Hayes Group. He had fully regained his usual aura of a ruthless apex predator.

"I need to go to the studio today to catch up on some delayed projects."

Clutching the folder to her chest, Nora calmly explained her itinerary. "The nurse will be waiting outside. I've already told the staff at the house to deliver your lunch on time."

Gideon's finger paused on the screen.

He looked up from the complex business reports, his gaze sweeping over Nora's long-unseen professional attire.

She wore light makeup, masking the exhaustion and pallor from days of sleep deprivation. She radiated a vibrant energy completely at odds with the sterile hospital room.

"Go."

Gideon replied indifferently, his tone somewhat casual. "Have Liam arrange a driver for you. Finish up early and come back."

Nora didn't bother correcting his entitled, possessive attitude, nor did she analyze the natural familiarity in his command to 'come back early.'
