I took a deep breath and walked into The Beaumont Hotel and Suites, one of the most exclusive luxury hotels in the country, my heels clicking against the marble floors with a rhythm I had practiced a hundred times in front of my bedroom mirror.

I headed straight for the members only nightclub called Noir, showed my pass at the door, and was allowed inside without a second glance from the bouncer. I bent down, picked up the open bottle of wine on the table, and refilled his glass while he watched me without saying a word. As
