Alpha Daddies And Their Innocent Little Maid (18+) novel Chapter 198

Lilith pov

My heart clenched.

"No... no..." Claude's voice followed immediately after, panicked and trembling. "That's not possible. No. No!"

Fear, grief, and desperation poured from every word.

Slowly, I opened my eyes. I took a deep breath and carefully lowered my father's body onto the ground. The moment I stood, my body swayed. The wind brushed against me and I felt it.

My soul.

It was disappearing.

Erasing itself from existence.

I lowered my gaze. My fingers were becoming transparent. Golden particles drifted from my skin, dissolving into the air like scattered starlight. I stared at them for only a second before turning around and walking, step by step, toward the three men kneeling in the distance.

Toward Lucien.

Toward Silas.

Toward Claude.

Toward the people I had been destined to leave behind.

Silas and Claude lifted their heads the moment I stopped before them, and their expressions shattered what remained of my heart.

"Lilith..."

Claude's lips trembled. He was crying. The man who always smiled. The man who always laughed. The man who always found a way to make others feel better.

He looked terrified.

Silas looked no better. His eyes were red, broken, hopeless, like he already knew, like he could feel me slipping away.

My gaze lowered to Lucien, to where he lay motionless in a pool of blood. His eyes were closed, his chest was still, he wasn't breathing.

I slowly crouched beside him and memories surfaced.

The first time we met beneath the rain. His cold voice. His distant expression.

"If you want to kill yourself, I suggest you don't do it in the middle of the road and inconvenience other people."

A weak smile touched my lips. Then another memory followed, his final words. The last thing he said before his breathing faded.

"Don't leave us, Lilith."

My chest tightened.

I turned toward Silas, and the first words he had ever spoken to me echoed through my mind.

"Are you okay, miss?"

He was the quiet man, the gentle man, the one who always cared more than he admitted. Then another memory.

His trembling voice. His red face. His confession.

"Draziel was right... he was right. I—I think I love you."

My smile widened painfully, then I looked at Claude. The loudest of them all, the brightest. The man who always took my side.

"Aw, brother. Don't you think that's a bit harsh for a woman?"

And another memory.

"The woman you call a slut. A whore. Wolfless. She went to the packhouse yesterday with no regard for her own life—just to save people."

A shaky breath escaped me. They had always been my mates from the very beginning. Fate had bound us long before any of us realized it.

Slowly, I looked back at Lucien. My hand rose and brushed his cold cheek.

"Thank you for everything, Alpha Lucien." My voice was barely above a whisper. "Thank you for loving me."

Then I closed my eyes and leaned forward.

Silas froze.

Claude's breath caught.

Verya and Abraham had just arrived behind them, only to stop dead in their tracks. Everyone watched, confused, stunned, unable to understand what I was doing.

I opened my mouth and forced my fangs out. Drevena was dormant, silent, but her power still answered my call and without hesitation—I sank my fangs into Lucien's neck.

A collective gasp echoed across the battlefield.

Everyone froze.

No one moved.

No one breathed.

I was marking him.

Marking him as my mate.

Golden light immediately surged from my body. The brilliance exploded around us. My vision blurred. My body became even more transparent. More pieces of me drifted away, vanishing, disappearing, giving themselves to him.

Then—

Gasp!

Lucien's body jerked. His chest expanded violently as air rushed into his lungs.

Everyone froze, Silas' eyes widened, Claude stared in disbelief. Verya covered her mouth. Abraham looked utterly stunned.

Lucien was breathing but I didn't stop.

I couldn't.

There wasn't enough time. Before anyone could react, I grabbed Claude by the collar and pulled him forward.

His eyes widened.

"L-Lilith—"

I sank my fangs into his neck.

Golden light burst from me again, far more than before. Claude jerked violently as the energy flowed into him, into his soul, into the mate bond.

When I finally released him, he stumbled back clutching his neck, shock written all over his face. I turned toward Silas.

Immediately—

"No."

His voice broke.

"No..."

For the first time since I met him, a tear slipped down his face, just one, yet it shattered me more than anything else.

"No, Lilith." His head shook desperately. "This isn't happening." Another tear followed.

"I don't want you gone." Pain twisted across his face, raw, honest, terrified. "This isn't going to happen."

A soft smile appeared on my lips. Then I released my aura. The pressure crashed over him instantly, pinning him in place. Silas struggled desperately, but he couldn't move, couldn't stop me, couldn't save me.

I stepped forward, knelt before him, closed my eyes, and sank my fangs into his neck.

The moment I did, I felt it.

The curse.

The curse that had chained them. The curse that had tormented them. The curse that had kept us apart.

It shattered.

Cracks spread through it.

Then—

It broke completely and as golden light poured from my body into theirs, I felt our bond finally become whole, just as fate had always intended, just as it had been written from the very beginning.

I, Lilith, would sacrifice my soul to change the world and save my mates with it.

Erasing myself from existence.

A weak smile spread across my lips as my vision began to darken.

I felt myself falling.

Falling into endless darkness.

Falling into nothing but before I could hit the ground, something stopped me.

No.

Someone.

Two people. Strong arms wrapped around me, holding me refusing to let me fall.

Lucien.
