"What do you mean by that, Mr. Croix?"
Evelyn caught the keyword, her expression instantly turning deadly serious. She stood up immediately and rushed to Raelynn, frantically checking her from head to toe. Only after confirming she was fine did she ask with a dark face, "Kidnapped? What happened?"
With Evelyn's furious interrogation.
The expressions of everyone in the room shifted to varying degrees.
Raelynn was surprised that Sebastian would bring up her kidnapping by Seraphina Vance at a time like this. She cast a suspicious glance at him before turning to comfort Evelyn. "I'm fine. Everything's okay. Please don't worry."
Evelyn gripped Raelynn's hand tightly.
"Speak!" She swept her gaze across the room.
Julian's face remained blank. He knew his father had wanted to keep the incident hidden to protect Sylvia, even though it had almost gotten Raelynn killed.
He hadn't told Evelyn because she was already overworked. He couldn't risk the shock triggering her illness and causing her to live in fear.
But now that it was out in the open, it didn't matter anymore.
Raelynn was safe.
"You should be asking Ms. Yves," Sebastian said coolly, glancing at Sierra, whose expression had stiffened for a split second.
Sylvia's expression also faltered.
"Mr. Croix, I was a victim in that incident as well. It was all because of your former lover's revenge. What do you mean by dragging Sierra into it now?"
Quentin looked at Sylvia, then turned to Evelyn. "I was worried you'd be too upset if you found out. Raelynn was taken by that Seraphina Vance, and she took Sylvia, too. Thank God, nothing terrible happened."
"What exactly is your definition of terrible, Mr. Yves?"
Sebastian looked at him, his tone flat but inexplicably piercing. "When Raelynn was inches away from safety, the woman sitting next to you deliberately provoked Seraphina. Raelynn was almost pushed off the building, and my daughter was thrown off the roof. All of this was instigated by Ms. Dalton. Are you going to deny that?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...
I thought now Sebastian and Raelynn will be together now that seraphina is not but you are not letting them to be. Two new female around Sebastian 😭...
I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
The croix family is evil...
