"Sebastian."
Tristan pressed his lips together, giving him a complex look.
Sebastian didn't look up. He set down the piping hot teacup and gave a faint, chilling smile. "Grandpa, do you actually care about my child, or just the Croix family's gains and losses in this whole mess? Let's drop the act. Today, Raelynn is the cherished daughter of the Yves family, doted on by them all. You played a losing hand seven years ago."
His tone was unhurried.
Yet he was blatantly pointing out that Forrest forcing Raelynn to sign those divorce papers seven years ago was a pathetic joke. Otherwise, he wouldn't be sitting here now, watching her rise to power as the true granddaughter of Dr. Hayes and drowning in regret.
Forrest's face darkened. "Sebastian, are you blaming me?"
"No, I think you handled it beautifully," Sebastian replied nonchalantly. "It's for the best that the child isn't in the Croix family. After all, in this environment, whether she'd even survive to adulthood is questionable. As her father, I naturally prefer my only daughter to grow up healthy and safe."
"You!"
Forrest was seething.
How could he miss the underlying venom in Sebastian's words?
Sebastian had never intended to hide it from the Croix family. He had single-handedly orchestrated the entire thing.
And there was no point in hiding it anymore.
The dust had settled.
What good did the Croix family's resentment toward Raelynn do now?
Forrest's grip on his walking cane tightened, and he opened his mouth to speak.
The assistant rushed in. "Chairman, an urgent call for you."
Sebastian blew lightly on his tea leaves, not bothering to look up.
Forrest glanced at the phone; it was Cordelia Hudson.
He shot a look at the impossibly calm Sebastian before frowning. "Answer it."

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...
I thought now Sebastian and Raelynn will be together now that seraphina is not but you are not letting them to be. Two new female around Sebastian 😭...
I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
The croix family is evil...
