Buying My Forever Wife novel Chapter 188

"Of course, you can count on me. I'll make sure Stella makes a full recovery."

As long as she could move into The Starlight Estate, she'd get to spend every day with this man and slowly win his heart.

One day, the title of Mrs. Foster would be hers.

Elena always knew Alaric only truly cared about his daughter.

Using Stella as a stepping stone had been the right move all along.

Alaric spent the entire night at the hospital too.

Seeing his daughter drift back to sleep after eating, he waited until she was fully asleep before standing up to address Elena.

"Take good care of her. Call me if anything happens."

"I will."

Alaric turned and left.

He hadn't expected to find Ivy still crouching outside the door.

He shot her a frigid glare.

Ivy scrambled to her feet, looking like a guilty child, and asked tentatively,

"Can I go in and see Stella?"

Alaric rejected her instantly. "No. Your only job is to prepare nutritious meals every day and drop them off at the door. You are not to go near Stella. Understand?"

Ivy pursed her lips and lifted her head to meet Alaric's gaze.

"I know it was my negligence that led to Stella getting hurt. Since you aren't making me leave The Starlight Estate, please give me one more chance to make it up to you."

"I promise I'll take perfect care of her from now on."

Truthfully, that child had already become a part of her life.

She genuinely treated Stella as her own daughter.

When the accident happened, she had been just as terrified and panicked.

Right now, all she desperately wanted was to make amends to the little girl.

But Alaric wasn't going to give her that chance.

Looking away from her, he coldly dropped his final word.

"I said, your job is to prepare food and deliver it. You are strictly forbidden from going near her."

Ivy wanted to argue, but the man was already walking away, his back radiating apathy.
