Buying My Forever Wife novel Chapter 247

The moment Alaric arrived at The Starlight Estate, even before he could step out of his car, he received a call from Mason Miller.

"I just landed in Capital City," Mason announced. "Come pick me up at the airport."

Alaric remained silent, his mood heavy.

His mind flickered to the vicious woman currently occupying his house.

Maybe Mason could actually help him deal with her.

"Why should I come get you?" Alaric asked dryly. "Are you just here to be a pain in my ass?"

Mason sounded immediately offended.

"I flew all the way here to hand you a massive project! You're the only person I'd share this kind of money-maker with, and you're giving me attitude?"

Alaric brushed off the complaint. "Fine, I'll pick you up, but you have to do me a favor."

"What favor?"

"I'll tell you when I see you."

Alaric hung up and signaled to Leo.

"I'm heading to the airport. Go inside and tell that woman I'm picking up a friend, so she better stop acting like a psycho."

Leo nodded. He watched the boss speed off before turning to enter the estate. Stepping inside, he saw the absolute wreckage of the living room and couldn't help but shake his head in disgust.

Elena was standing halfway up the grand staircase, dressed in a stunning evening gown and full makeup, balancing on stilettos while swirling a glass of red wine. She glared down at him.

"Why are you alone? Where is he?"

Leo looked up.

Seeing her acting like she was the undisputed lady of the manor, completely decked out, made his stomach turn.

He swallowed his disgust and said coldly, "The boss will be here shortly with his friend—the heir to the Miller family from Northport. I strongly suggest you clean this place up."

Elena frowned, clicking her heels down the stairs to stand in front of him.

"The heir to the Miller family from Northport?"

Leo nodded.

She had heard of the Millers. They were a corporate juggernaut on par with Foster Group, boasting a market cap in the hundreds of billions.
