Buying My Forever Wife novel Chapter 250

Seeing her looking so utterly pathetic, Alaric felt a deep pang of sympathy and reached out to pick her up.

"Let's get you to bed."

Ivy batted his hands away, grabbing him by the shoulders to inspect him seriously.

"Are you really back? Are you really my Mr. Foster?"

Alaric was losing his patience. He reached out and gently pinched her eyelids open. "Are you blind? The lights are on, can't you see my face?"

His harsh tone only terrified her more, and she dissolved into pitiful, hiccuping sobs.

"Why are you yelling at me? Did you sleep with that evil psycho? Are you tainted now? Do you think you're some ancient emperor who gets to have a harem?"

She was completely out of her mind.

Her thoughts were a chaotic mess, and she blurted out every erratic fear that crossed her mind.

Unable to regulate her emotions, she sat on the rug wailing, massive tears rolling down her cheeks.

She didn't even care that she might wake up Mrs. Gable and Stella.

Alaric was utterly exhausted.

He slapped a hand over her mouth. "I didn't sleep with her. What the hell is going on in your head?"

"I don't believe you! That psycho is obsessed with you, there's no way she'd let you go!"

Ivy shoved his hand away, aggressively wiping the tears from her face. Still sitting on the floor, she scrambled forward and frantically tried to unbuckle his belt.

"Let me check! If I look, I'll know for sure!"

Horrified, Alaric scrambled backward and shot to his feet.

"Ivy, stop acting like a lunatic!"

How could he possibly let her check?

Drunk or not, she needed to have some boundaries.

Alaric was genuinely irritated now.
