Chapter 416: King of Jealousy

"Okay."

Chloe didn’t refuse.

She was overjoyed that Jasper Shaw had the time to go to the old family home with her.

With that, she took out her keys and opened the door.

Walking over to the shoe cabinet, she found Jasper Shaw his slippers.

"I’m going to take a shower first."

Chloe turned to look at the man who was changing into his slippers and asked, "It might take a little while. Are you busy?"

Jasper Shaw looked up and immediately replied, "Not busy. Take your time."

Chloe finally nodded.

Just then, Jasper Shaw suddenly asked, "You were panting and out of breath when you ran up just now. It looked like someone was chasing you. What’s all that about?"

He had seen Chloe’s voice message as soon as he got back to the company last night.

He had originally planned on working just one hour of overtime, but to make sure he could go to the old family home with Chloe, he ended up pulling an all-nighter.

Since he didn’t know when Chloe would be leaving, he’d rushed over as soon as he finished his work.

He just hadn’t expected to find the apartment empty and his phone silent.

He even asked the old master, who said Chloe hadn’t arrived either.

Worried he might miss Chloe, he’d been standing here waiting. He hadn’t been there long when he saw her suddenly scrambling up from the stairwell, moving as if a horde of ghosts were hot on her heels.

"Don’t tell me some old ladies were chasing you for your WeChat?" Jasper Shaw teased.

The next second, Chloe’s eyes widened, and she shot him a thumbs-up.

A bad feeling washed over Jasper Shaw.

"Mr. Shaw, are you a prophet or something?!"

"What is it?"

Chloe said, "A group of old ladies on the track field were just showing me pictures of their grandsons, trying to set me up."

Jasper Shaw’s heart clenched. He quickly asked, "And what happened?"
