By the time Chloe Sinclair returned to the village in Province Y, it was already five in the afternoon.
Seeing that everyone was tired from the morning, the production team hadn’t scheduled any activities for the afternoon, letting everyone rest instead.
Of course, the production team wasn’t about to let them sit around and waste an entire afternoon.
With the exception of Chloe Sinclair, no one else had secured their dinner for the evening.
Chloe Sinclair had originally wanted to let everyone eat with her, but after Simon Lawson found out, he announced that dinner could not be given to others in any form or by any means.
With no other choice, everyone spent the afternoon searching for ingredients.
But they weren’t allowed to borrow from the villagers, and they didn’t recognize any of the wild vegetables on the mountain. After an entire afternoon, they still hadn’t found a single edible thing.
Gabriel Sinclair had found a bamboo pole over three feet long somewhere and was holding it. Facing the livestream camera, he lamented, "If I’d known I wouldn’t find anything to eat this afternoon, I would’ve eaten more for lunch."
He hadn’t been eating much for any of his three daily meals because he was on a diet.
But he had a fast metabolism, and missing even one meal left him feeling frantic with hunger.
The thought of going to bed hungry that night made Gabriel Sinclair anxious and irritable.
"Sigh!"
After sighing, he suddenly spotted a familiar figure appearing in the distance.
He took a closer look and saw that it was Chloe Sinclair.
As if he’d found his savior, Gabriel Sinclair bolted toward her like a wild horse breaking free. Before Chloe Sinclair could even reach the courtyard, he’d thrown his arms around her in a tight hug.
Caught off guard, Chloe Sinclair stumbled back several steps.
The moment she was back, Gabriel Sinclair seemed to find an outlet for all his grievances, whining, "Sis! I’ve got nothing to eat tonight!"
The more he thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt.
"Ms. Mayfield never told me this was going to be a survival show when I signed up!"
