Juniper took a taxi to the address Macy had given her for the herbalist.

The moment she stepped into the corridor, she collided hard with someone, stumbling back several steps. A familiar voice rang out above her. "Juniper?"

She froze, instinctively lowering her head, but she had already been recognized.

Brooks Lane's face twisted with rage. He grabbed her wrist in a vice grip. "Done playing around outside and finally decided to show your face? Let's go! You're going to apologize to Mom and Dad. Do you have any idea how much humiliation they've suffered because of you?"

Juniper's wrist turned red under his grip. She violently wrenched her arm away. "Let go of me."
