Stella looked up to see Jarrod standing there, his expression grim.

Just as she suspected, being busy was only an excuse. He would never miss a chance to take his sweetheart shopping.

If she had known she was going to run into them, she never would have come here!

"Jarrod!"

The moment Serena saw Jarrod, she burst into tears, pointing directly at Stella. "She bullied me..."

Jarrod's gaze shifted to Stella, whose face was completely unreadable. "What happened?"

One was his cousin, and the other was the woman he loved.

Whatever she said would just be treated as excuses.

The situation was humiliating enough, and Stella had no desire to degrade herself further. "Exactly what it looks like."

With that, she took her scarf and walked straight out of the store.

Jarrod wanted to go after her and ask a few more questions, but Chloe called out from behind, "Jarrod, Serena sprained her ankle! Come help me get her up!"

Jarrod turned around. The scene was a total mess, with merchandise scattered all over the floor.

Chloe was struggling to hold up a limping Serena.

Jarrod called his assistant, ordering him to come over and handle the damages to the store.

He then took Serena from Chloe's hold, supporting her weight.

Serena was still crying and cursing Stella, but Jarrod, irritated by the noise, told her to shut up. He then turned to Chloe. "Chloe, what exactly happened?"

Chloe quickly recounted the encounter with Stella.

"Jarrod, Serena had a bad attitude, but Stella isn't as nice as she looks! She shoved Serena so fast I couldn't even react!"

Chloe patted her chest as if genuinely frightened. "Her eyes looked terrifying! Do you think she snapped at Serena because you made her work overtime on that meeting agenda?"

Jarrod said nothing.

He had read through the agenda. It was incredibly detailed, highly organized, and clearly took a massive amount of time and energy to put together.

Working hard into the weekend, only to get harassed by Serena—it made sense she was angry.

Still, Jarrod hadn't expected the usually docile little rabbit to show her teeth like that.
