Banning all contact essentially severed Jorrod's most critical lifeline to recovering his memories.
But it was the first time Sienna had ever offered him a genuine shot.
Jorrod accepted without hesitation.

Over the following week.
Sienna didn't see Jorrod a single time.
He was absent not only from her apartment complex but also conspicuously missing from the office.
Eventually, George Quinn was discharged.
On the day they brought her father home, Sienna bumped into Jacqueline in the hospital lobby.
The doctor seemed pleasantly surprised and called out to her.
Out of politeness, Sienna stopped to chat.
Jacqueline kept things light, making small talk before smoothly transitioning to the subject of Jorrod's recent treatments.
Sienna listened quietly as the older woman detailed his progress.
When she finished, Sienna simply smiled, mentioning she needed to get her father home.
Jacqueline nodded in understanding.
Watching the young woman walk away, the doctor couldn't help but recall the cozy little apartment where she had witnessed the couple so madly in love. All that tender devotion, gone just like that.
Jacqueline withdrew her gaze and shook her head softly.
It made sense, though.
With divorce rates so high these days, a simple breakup was nothing out of the ordinary.

Sienna brought her parents back home.
Sienna was mid-text to a friend, glancing up with a distracted, "Hmm?"
"Your uncle called me a few days ago. He mentioned that your cousin actually works for that company, AstroTech Solutions. He's doing incredibly well and is being transferred to Aurelia in a few days. He suggested you two grab dinner and catch up when he gets in."
Sienna sifted through her memory for the cousin in question.
She definitely remembered him.
They used to play together all the time when they were kids. He was five or six years older and always spoiled her, taking her out for snacks and games. She had always adored him.
But after her uncle's divorce, her aunt took him away, and they completely lost touch.
It had to have been over ten years since she last saw him.
"Sure, sounds great," Sienna agreed easily. "I can show him around Aurelia while he's here. Julian Quinn, right?"
She could barely remember what he looked like.
"He doesn't use our surname anymore," George corrected, shaking his head. "After the divorce, your aunt changed his name. He goes by Julian Lennox now."
