I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 400

Timothy had noticed Hayden's inappropriate intentions toward Zoe for a while now.

"Don't worry, Ms. Lynd. Mr. Thorne's girlfriend is here. He'll know to keep his distance."

Zoe was left speechless.

So Director Yates had also picked up on the scumbag's ulterior motives.

By the time they reached the cafeteria, Hayden had already guided Sienna to a regular table. Ethan had tagged along uninvited.

Naturally, Zoe sat with Timothy and Garrett.

Seeing two powerful men shielding Zoe and treating her like the center of attention sparked a flash of irritation in Sienna's chest.

Zoe didn't even spare her a single glance. Sienna scoffed inwardly.

She was nothing but Garrett's temporary plaything, yet she acted like she was actually someone important.

The day Garrett got bored of her, she wouldn't even have the chance to cry.

Timothy noticed Sienna and offered a polite greeting.

"So this is the famous Mrs. Thorne. It's a pleasure."

Timothy didn't know Hayden and Zoe were married. He said it deliberately to remind Zoe that Mr. Thorne had a woman by his side, hoping to prevent her from falling into any of Hayden's traps.

Sienna completely missed the underlying meaning. She simply assumed Timothy had finally realized the vast difference in status between her and Zoe, and was giving her the respect she deserved.

She smiled gracefully and engaged him in small talk. "Director Yates, we actually crossed paths in Miami."

He didn't know Sienna well. He had only allowed her presence here to keep Hayden from making a move on Zoe. A man of Timothy's standing had no reason to pander to someone like her.

"However, Easton has its own strategic plans," Sienna continued. "I believe that this kind of groundbreaking technology should be developed locally. Easton actually turned down Mr. Harrison's offer. He took his team and left three days ago. Personally, I would have loved to collaborate with him, but we wanted to keep the core technology within our own borders. Everyone wants to support their homeland, right?"

Her impassioned speech made Ethan admire her even more.

In a world where everyone was chasing millions and prioritizing profits, he couldn't believe she had such a grand vision. She was willing to walk away from a lucrative deal with Zachary just to protect proprietary tech.

Sienna caught the sheer admiration in Ethan's eyes. It made her wonder if his feelings for her went a bit beyond platonic friendship.

She subtly shifted her chair closer to Hayden. She would have to find an opportunity to set Ethan straight.

Business partnerships were fine, but he couldn't entertain any inappropriate fantasies. She was Hayden's woman, after all.
