Finnegan had authorized the diversion of funds entirely out of guilt. He knew he owed Seraphina, especially since he planned to reclaim his identity as the eldest brother and remarry Nora.

Nora found his justification absolutely absurd.

She took a step back, her posture rigid. "Since you have breached our agreement first, I am fully within my rights to refuse this arrangement. Consider our partnership terminated as of this exact moment."

Felix stepped up, placing himself firmly between Nora and the board. "Fletcher Group has unilaterally diverted the project's dedicated funds. You are in breach of contract. We have the right to unconditionally terminate our collaboration. Furthermore, your side will be fully liable for any resulting financial fallout. If you wish to contest this, we can pull up the contract right now. See you in court."

A wave of anxious murmurs rippled across the boardroom. The arrogant, aggressive atmosphere evaporated instantly.

Finnegan's face darkened. "Are you absolutely sure you want to go down this road, Felix?"

Felix didn't yield an inch. "You breached the contract first. We should be asking you that question, Mr. Fletcher. Are you sure you want to do this?"
